RE: Hispanic Festival, October 11

Dear Consuelo

This letter is addressed to the issues contained in your e-mail of September 24 to Paul
Williamson regarding the City's cooperation in the Hispanic Festival.
1. The Festival may use the balcony and the back yard of the Arrivas House at 46 St.
George Street. Public access to the balcony is reserved, however, only for people directly
associated with the Festival itself who need access for electricity or to prepare decorations. No
public access to the balcony is otherwise permitted. That is for safety reasons. Both the
balcony and the yard itself must be returned to its original condition at the conclusion of the
Festival.
2. This department will provide six garbage cans for Festival use. We do not, however,
have available personnel to provide garbage pick-up. The Festival shall have to arrange for
someone to place liners in the cans and to take the garbage bags to the dumpster located just
to the south of the yard.
3. The yard will be cleaned and mowed the week before the event.
4. The Festival may use electrical outlets located on the balcony.
5. The Festival may use the U.S. flag.
We appreciate the fact that you understand the necessity to keep the music and
celebratory events inside the yard, so as not to violate the prohibition against St. George Street
activity.
If you have questions about this, please call this office. Thank you, and good luck with
the event.
