Dear Mrs. Anderson,
Will you pardon me if I venture to ask about something very interesting to me?
Some years ago we read in "The Christian Observer" an account of "Florida White" -
Mrs. Ellen Adair White afterwards Mrs. Beatty her beauty, and charm, and incidents
in her life connected with famous foreign personages. After reading Genl. Anderson's
Autobiography I felt sure she was his, and your, Aunt. Am I not right? My interest in
her personally leads me to trouble you with this.
We have all been so much interested in your noble husband's Autobiography and
your letters have made us feel that we are not entire strangers.
