Ordinance, 1946, (No. 2 of 1947) with

Cotton Inspector for the island of
Nevis under section 3 (1) of the Cotton
Ordinance, 1946, (No. 2 of 1947) during
such time as he shall be performing
the duties of Cotton Inspector in the
place of M r. Robert Bruce Clifton.

STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS
1953, No. 17.

NOTICE dated the 2nd day of September, 1953,
by the Governor in Council under Section 4
of the Cotton Ordinance, 1946 (No. 2 of 1947).

WHEREAS by Section 4 of the Cotton Ordi-
nance, 1946 (No. 2 of 1947) it is provided that the
Governor in Council may, by notice published in the
Gazette, declare any plant to be an infectious plant
within the meaning of the said Ordinance and there-
upon such plant shall be a cotton plant for all pur-
poses of the Ordinance:
AND WHEREAS it is expedient to declare the
Okra tree (Hibiscus esculentus) and the shrub Holly-
hock (Althaea rosea) to be infectious plants within
the'meaning of the said Ordinance:
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers
vested in me by Section 4 of the Cotton Ordinance,
1946, and otherwise, and with the advice of the Execu-
tive Council, I do by this notice declare the tree
known as the "Okra (Hibiscus esculentus)" and the
shrub known as the "Hollyhock (Althaea rosea)" to be
infectious plants within the meaning of the said
expression as defined in Section 2 of the Ordinance.

Made by the Governor in Council and dated
this 2nd day of September, 1953.

Saint Christopher Nevis and Anguilla under
Regulation 50 of the Defence Regulations, 1939,
as having effect by the Supplies and Services
(Transitional Powers) Act, 1945, the Supplies
and Services (Transitional Powers) (Colonies,
etc) Order in Council 1946 (Imperial), the
Supplies and Services (Transitional Powers)
Order, 1946, and the Supplies and Services
(Continuance) Order, 1952 (Imperial).

DEFENCE REGULATIONS 1939

1. CI'ATION. This Order may be cited as the
Prices Control (Amendment) (No. 7) Order, 1953, and
shall be read as one with the Prices Control Order
(No. 26) 1942, as amended, hereinafter referred to as the
Principal Order.
2. AMENDMENT. List A of Part 1 of the Sche-
dule to the Principal Order is hereby amended by the
deletion of items 11 (c) (ii) (c), 11 (d), (i), (ii), (iii) and
19(a) (i) and the substitution therefore of the items
bearing like numbers as set out hereunder.
