Lighting of Vehicles in the
Presidency of St. Kitts Nevis
Anguilla.

Regulation No. 8.

By virtue of the powers vested
in me under The Vehicles and
Road Traffic Ordinance No. 20 of
1949, Part 1,. Section 2, I hereby
make the following regulation for
the lighting of vehicles:-

The period for the lighting of
vehicles is fixed as follows:-
Between the hours of 6.30 p.m.
and 5.30 a.m.
Regulation No. 7 is hereby
rescinded.

NOTICE.

IMPORT LICENCING: CORONATION SOUVENIRS

In pursuance of the powers conferred upon him
by the Defence (Import and Export Restriction) Re-
gulations, 1943, the Governor has issued the following
General Import Licence.
The General (Open) Import Licence (No. I of
1952) issued by order of the Governor in respect of
the Presidency of Saint Christopher, Nevis and
Anguilla and dated the I4th day of February, 1952, is
hereby revoked in respect of the importation of the
articles set out in Part I of the Schedule hereto when
such articles originate in and are consigned from
countries other than those specified in Part II of the
Schedule.
Schedule
PART I.

(1) Articles of all kinds suitable for use for or in
connexion with the celebration or commemoration of
the Coronation of Her Majesty or as souvenirs there-
of, being articles which consist of or bear a represen-
tation of Her Majesty, any member of the Royal
Family, the Royal Cypher, the Royal Arms, any
Royal emblem, escutcheon, badge, crest, armorial
bearings or insignia, any article or building associated
with the Coronation, or a flag of any country specified
in Paat II of this Schedule or which consist of or bear
any other mark or device which renders them suitable
for use as aforesaid.
(2) Flags of any country specified in Part II of
this Schedule and flags resembling such flags.
PART II.
The countries to which this Licence relates are:-
The United Kingdom, the independent countries
of the Commonwealth (including Canada), any Colony
being part of Her Majesty's dominions, any British
protectorate or British protected state, any territory
for the time being administered by the Government

of any part of Her Majesty's dominions under the
trusteeship system of the United Nations, South-West
Africa and the Republic of Ireland.

Explanatory Note.

Regulation 2 of the Defence (Import and Export
Restriction) Regulations, 1943, prohibits the importa-
tion into the Colony of all goods .except under
Licence granted by or on behalf of the Governor.
The General (Open) Import Licence No. I of 1952
issued by order of the Governor and dated the 4th
day of February, 1952, permits subject to the excep-
tions listed in the Schedule the importation of goods
originating in any country or territory other than
those listed in the said Licence This General (Open)
Import Licence is now partially revoked by the
amending Licence issued'by order of the Governor.
The effect of this partial revocation is to permit the
importation without a Licence of the goods set out in
Part I of the Schedule to the amending Licence only
when these goods originate in and are consigned from
the countries specified in Part II of the Schedule to
the said amending Licence. Imports of such goods
when they do not originate in or are consigned from
the said countries are prohibited by virtue of the
above-mentioned Regulation 2 of the Defence (Import
and Export Restriction) Regulations, 1943 except
under a licence expressly authorising such imports.

Ordinance, 1948.

Notice is hereby given that the Central Housing
Authority has prepared two draft schemes for the re-
siting of Ottleys & Lodge Villages upon lands of
Lodge Estate opposite the Estate yard and of Phillips'
Village upon lands of Molyneux Estate adjoining the
Molyneux School.
These Schemes are in substitution for the Moly-
neux Village Scheme submitted to the Governor-in-
Council on 15/9151, and may be inspected at the
Authority's Office, East Square St., Basseterre, during
office hours.

Any representations or objections to the Schemes
should be sent in writing to the Secretary, Central
Housing Authority, Basseterre, within 15 days of the
date of this notice.
