How ever, she had no explanation as to how she ended up at the accident scene, while the person who supposedly crashed her vehicle was nowhere to be found. A St. Lucie County deputy noticed the woman, was unsteady on her feet, her pupils were very dilated, and that she was barefoot and her skin was red and irritated on her upper body consistent with being in an accident, a report said. In the vehicle, the deputy found flip-flops, a Florida identification card issued to the woman and a crack pipe.Kidnapped in a cabA Fort Pierce man r epeatedly called 911, claiming he was being kidnapped. When authorities investigated the situation, they found the man was inside a cab when he made the calls. The cab driver reported he was taking the intoxicated man home, but the man could not tell him the address. Du r ing the ride, the man kept accusing the cab driver of kidnapping him. B ut it appears doubtful the $20 cab fee the man paid was kidnapping r ansom. The man who claimed he was being kidnapped ended up being forcibly taken to the St. Lucie County jail after being arrested on a charge of misuse of 911. Pe r haps one could call that a legal kidnapping.F ully dressed BEST OF THE BLOTTERJA Y MEISEL See B LOTTER, A5 Anti-Semitic vandalism reported at several businesses PORT ST. LUCIE A ttorney Adam Fetterman was disgusted to learn that someone had left horse manure outside his office and printed Jew Pe r ish, on the outside wall, he said last week. I t s unfortunate that a bigoted, uneducated individual would take out their anger on people who have nothing to do with them, said Mr. Fetterman, who is J ewish. Mr. Fettermans business was one of five targeted since Dec. 13 for antiS emitic vandalism, said V eteran reaches year-long goal ST. LUCIE COUNTY While some people are just starting their N ew Years resolutions, one man is celebrating the completion of his y ear-long goal to help people close to his heart: veterans. These are individuals that dont want to burden others, proud individuals, said Samson Deville. But they need clothing, medical assistance and other items they cant get for themselves. So Mr. DeVille started a fundraiser at the beginning of 2011 to raise $20,000 to help area veterans. At an American Legion Post 318 meeting on Jan. 6, he announced to the group that he didnt make his goal. He exceeded it. And, with friends giving him a standing ovation, Mr. DeVille presented Greg Emerson, Legion Riders P ost 318 Commander, a check for $22,900. The money went to the Department of Veteran Affairs in Port St. L ucie. I spent so many days and weekends shaking the hands of veterans here, he said. Every dollar I raised was put into the veterans account at American Legion Post 318. He set some high stakes to help him make his goals. Back in May State grades area high schools ST. LUCIE COUNTY Its not just students who bring home report cards. A report released recently by the Florida Department of E ducation showed what the school districts six high school grades were. The grades are given annually by the state. Each high school is awarded points for reaching a number of academic goals, including the number of students in advanced courses, graduation rates, drop out rates and FCAT scores. C urrently, Lincoln Park A cademy received an A, Fo rt Pierce Central received a B and Fort Pierce Westwood received a D. In Po rt S t. Lucie, Port St. Lu cie High School received a D , while St. Lucie West C entennial and Treasure C oast High Schools received Bs. While elementary and Ministry celebrates 25th anniversary ST. W e re really grateful for all the support we received. The city really stepped up. They were excellent, and y ou couldnt ask for better r esources. In addition to the building being repaired, the city also took the opportunity to bring it up to disability codes. The cost of doing both was estimated to be approximately $59,935. The cost is for both the damage repairs and the (American Disability Association) improvements, said Jerry Bentrott, city manager for Port St. Lucie. A bout half of the amount will be reimbursed from insurance for the vandalism damage, and the other half will be for upgrades to make the building ADA compatible. The building, located at Jay cee Park, was being used by the YMCA for its afterschool youth programs, until the second week of November when brothers Christian and Dustin G ilbert allegedly broke into the center and caused more than $30,000 worth of damage. P olice later charged them with burglary, criminal mischief, arson and grand theft. The vandalism repairs included replacing drywall, air conditioning units, ceiling tiles, countertops, toilets and more. The ADA improvements included widening interior doorways, adjusting the countertop heights in the bathrooms and kitchen, and new lower water fountains. The organization is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the move back into the renovated building at 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 20.ReopenF rom page A1 Were reallly grateful for all the support we received. It was part of a number of incidents of vandalism that struck five Port St. Lucie businesses during the past months. Thomas L. Nichols, public information officer for the Po rt S t. Lucie Police Department So far, no suspects have been identified, he said. F loridas chapter of the Anti-Defamation League condemned the incidents in a statement issued Jan. 12. ADL condemns the r ecent pattern of antiS emitic incidents targeting local businesses in Port St. L ucie, Andrew Rosenkranz, ADL Florida regional director, said in a press release. The anti-Jewish messages, vandalism and fecal matter are despicable. Such hateful acts are unacceptable and should be investigated as potential antiS emitic hate crime. ADL has been in contact with the Port St. Lucie Police D epartment and has offered assistance to victims, the press release said. All the businesses were located along Port St. Lucie B oulevard within relatively close proximity. However, at least three of the businesses have no owners or employees who are Jewish. J uliet Magrane, a paralegal at Crary-Buchanan Office, said while no one at the office is Jewish, she and others are offended by it. It s just wrong in way too many ways, she said. The incidents are as follows, according to the r eports: On Dec. 14, the CraryB uchanan Law Office, 1935 S.E. Port St. Lucie Blvd., r eported someone left a pile of feces at the front door with a baseball autographed by P ete Rose on top. S omeone printed R ose=Jew on one side of the ball and Jew Perish on the other. S tar of David stickers were posted on the marquis in front of the plaza where the office is located. John Cairns, the owner of Boulevard Dental Association, 1343 S.E. Port St. L ucie Blvd., reported on Jan. 6 that he found a large amount of fecal matter on the hood of his Kia SUV. He also discovered that someone wrote Jew on the driver side door with a marker. Pr eviously, someone had left a book with the title N etwork Marketing for D ummies in his mailbox and the name of the author was circled with the word J ews printed next to it and the words Communism is J ews printed on the back cover. Mr. Cairns, who is not Je wish, also reported someone put two Star of David stickers on the window of his office. Porcaro Cosmetic Sur gery, 1943 S.E. Port St. L ucie Blvd., reported on Jan. 6 that someone wrote Jew Per ish! on the pillars on the south side of the building where her building is located. Elizabeth Porcaro, the ow ner, told police she is not J ewish. Fetterman Law Office, 1861 S.E. Port St. Lucie Blvd., r eported on Jan. 10 that someone printed Jew Perish on the outside wall next to the front window. F riday, January 20, 2012 A4 Port St. Lucie Hometown News M odern Advances in dental technology and surgical techniques mean now, more and more people who have lost their natural teeth can live fuller, richer, and happier lives. They allow the person to go to favorite r estaurants and order what they want to eat, instead of what they can eat. Dental implants can r estore a persons ability to eat, smile, kiss and talk with confidence and comfort. A dental implant is a substitute tooth root that provides a stable foundation for replacement teeth. The implant is anchored into the jawbone through a process where the bone and the implant become integrated, providing the same stability as natural teeth. This means that replacement teeth can look, feel, and function just like real teeth! S ince dental im-plants, like teeth, are embedded in the jaw, the painful chewing associated with removable teeth is eliminated. Unlike traditional dentures, im-plants supports dentures so that there is little pressure on the gums.A dditionally, dental implants can be used to solve a variety of dental problems. For example, implants can be used to replace a single missing tooth instead of making a traditional bridge. They can be placed to support an entire bridge where the natural teeth are missing, or they can be used to give the patient a better fitting denture so they can eliminate the problems traditionally associated with dentures.B est of all, youll be able to smile more naturally and be comfortable in normal activities such as talking, laughing, smiling and eating. Lincoln Park Academy re ceived 70 percent of its grade from its FCAT scores. P oints are given for each category, and then are tallied. The end score determines the final grade. The categories include the percentage of students that are at a level three or higher in r eading, math and science; the percentage of students making improvements in r eading and math; and the percentage of the lowest scoring 25 percent of the students who showed improvements ov erall. F or example, Lincoln Park A cademy in Fort Pierce earned an A because the total score for the school was greater than 1,050 points, the A range. B ut four schools scored higher than the grade given to them because of penalties they received for not meeting all the criteria necessary, so they all lost some points they had earned. Fo rt Pierce Central scored a 1,089, and Treasure Coast Hi gh School scored a 1,061, which should have given both schools an A designation. Also, Fort Pierce Westwood received a score of 974, and Port St. Lucie High School received a score of 975, which should have given both schools a C designation. In fact, they were both within 16 and 15 points r espectively to receive Bs. While districts have the ability to appeal a grade and have it reexamined, it wont help any of the schools in St. Lucie C ounty. The deadline to file for appeals in Feb. 3, said Helen R oberts, assistant superintendent of secondary schools and high school reform. Y ou can only appeal if it would change the school grade. If a penalty is applied, that is the only data that could be appealed. So it does not look like we will be appealing this year. M eanwhile, the two lowest graded schools, Fort Pierce W estwood and Port St. Lucie H igh School, are proud of what they have accomplished in the past year. Fo rt Pierce Westwood showed measurable gains in math and science scores, and more than tripled the number of students taking and passing industry certification tests. In addition, the school increased the number of students graduating. O ur gains are really something to celebrate, said M allissa Hamilton, principal of Fort Pierce Westwood High School. At Port S t. Lucie High School, one of the areas they targeted last year was the percentage of students taking accelerated coursework such as dual enrollment, advanced placement and international baccalaureate. The number of seniors in those classes increased from 22 percent to 34 percent, or more than one in three seniors. The school expects the number of students enrolled in college-level coursework to increase as the schools International Baccalaureate program will be opened to more students. The school is also working with Indian River S tate College to open more avenues for dual enrollment coursework. W e were able to challenge more students with advanced coursework and they r esponded, said Mark Rendell, principal of Port St. Lucie H igh School.GradesF rom page A1 YOUR LOCAL NEWS & INFORMATION SOURCE

A Vero Beach man probably looked a bit heavier when he exited a department store than when he entered it. Thats because authorities said he entered wearing one pair of jeans and exited w earing five. He w ent into a dressing r oom with six pairs of jeans and put on four of them. He then put the original pair over those. When a security guard approached him, he ran, but was caught. Per haps the bulk of w earing so many pairs of pants helped foil his escape. An unlikely suspectWhen Port St. Lucie Police officers found drug paraphernalia under a babys blanket, they knew the infant wasnt a drug addict. Earlier, when investigating some people acting suspiciously in a neighborhood at night, they saw a woman drop something and then r etrieving something. They then saw her messing with the front of her shirt and reaching her arm under the blanket. They later found a makeup bag with drug paraphernalia under the blanket. The woman isnt likely to be named mother of the y ear anytime soon.BlotterF rom page A1

Roadside solicitation must be stopped. Stopping it will prevent some accidents from happening. On the corner where I was trying to make a left turn, there was someone selling newspapers. The traffic was backed up for more than a block because people were stopping to buy a paper. There was a man who got his paper, and then did a Uturn; probably to go home. It stopped me from making my turn. That person was too lazy to get out of his car and buy the paper at the store. I say no to roadside solicitation. If someone wants to donate to a church or reputable organization, mail it in!We need drivers schoolThere needs to be a drivers school course that makes y ou drive around with a DMV staff member for at least a couple hours, not just driving around in the parking lot for a few minutes and then handing over a license. Ev ery day I see people who dont use their signals, cut people off, talk on cell phones, cross over three lanes in front of traffic to get over to that turning lane, ride in passing lanes and even speed up so that you can't pass. When I spoke with an officer as to why people arent ever pulled over for these things, all he could say is that 95 percent of his tickets were for speeding. If this is one thing people are getting penalized for why arent the other law-breakers getting penalized, as well? T urn down TV musicWhy do all TV shows seem to have their background music tuned up so high that most times you can't even hear what the main characters in the movies have to say? This never happened in the old-time movies, and it didn t interfere with what the actors were saying.Pull your pants upI cannot stand to see these young men walking around with their pants pulled up to just below their butt cheeks. It looks absolutely awful. I would never hire any of these y oung men to do any kind of work for me. I dont know if its worse than the young girls with their butt cheeks hanging out of the bottom of their shorts. I know where they can get a job: on the street or at a strip club. The young people these days have no respect for themselves or anyone else. And, as a citizen, Im scared to approach them to tell them they look awful. In the olden days, we respected the opinion of the older generations. Nowadays, the young people are completely disrespectful and treat their parents like slaves. Parents spoil children rotten then wonder why they are misbehaving. I think the days of the leather strap and good old-fashioned whippings should be brought back. Maybe then these little punks would be more courteous.Dont rush the holiday seasonWhen I went into a store on Christmas Eve to buy a couple last-minute Christmas items they were picked over and torn apart, and sitting next to a display of Valentines Day gifts. Why do we have to rush through the holidays? There is no time to enjoy the now, because we are too busy preparing for two months away. ADHD drugs are over-prescribedSo many ADHD children are treated with Ritalin and A dderall without any consideration given to behavior therapy and a change in diet. One has to wonder where all these abnormal children are coming from. ADHD diagnosis is based on someones opinion and not medical tests. How did earlier generations make their way without these medications? M ost overactive children played hard and tired themselves out, then outgrew or learned to cope with their energy. If a child is on Ritalin, will that child learn to channel that energy that could, one day, become an asset? Parents complain that teachers tell them to get their children on Ritalin. Doctors get their information about drugs from drug salesmen, on commission for selling these legalized drugs. N either is a formula for success. M edicine is not a science; its a crap shoot. No doctor has a crystal ball with the right answers. They try this. If it doesnt work, try that. How many deaths have to occur before a drug is pulled off the market? Benefits should go to Americans, not illegalsI am not a Democrat, nor am I a Republican. I am an American who was born here and worked here until I got hit and had to file for disability. I was turned down. Now people who come from another country, who are not American, who are not even citizens, file for disability and they get it on the first try. I know at least one person who does not even live here in this country and he gets disability. I dont understand how this is possible. It is time this country of ours wakes up and stops this. I have already reported this person and nothing has been done about it. This was over a year ago. We need honest people in government positions to start to care about our own people here. We need to stop the ones who are in office only to fatten their wallets off of hard-working Americans and give it to other countries and to people who come here and file for these benefits. Tickets for spring training games went on sale last Saturday.Mitch Kloorfain chief photographer One of the nice features that you may have noticed about your computer is its uncanny ability to remember where y ou've been and what you've typed before. Log into the Internet and type a web address in the address line of your browser and hit enter. Then, after visiting other w ebsites, go back and start typing that web address again, and it appears in the address pull-down menu. Click on it, and off you go. Or, how about any time y ou've filled out an online form? On Windows machines, you may get a message the first time you enter information online asking, "Would you like to turn on auto complete?" Click ye s, and now the computer will remember everything y ou type into online forms and present them, when appropriate, in a clickable pull-down menu form. F or instance, let's say you are on the Internet and you want to order something online. You get to the order form page and start entering y our name shipping address, email address, etc., into the form and (since this your first time ordering anything online) you have to fill out each field manually. Y ou finish filling out the form, place your order and everything's fine. Now, as you surf the Internet, you come to another online form. Perhaps y ou are ordering flowers online or booking travel arrangements to Hawaii. (W ouldn't that be nice?) N otice that this order form is asking most, if not all, of the same questions as before. As y ou begin to fill this form out and enter your first name in the first name box, you notice y our name appears as soon as y ou start typing. Same thing happens when you fill in your last name. Y ou'll notice that all the fields you filled in before (as long as the fields are named the same as on the Web page where you first typed) automatically appear for you so you can just click and press tab to tab to the next field. It makes entering the same information a snap as long as it's turned on and you're aware that it's happening. What about if you want to clear the history list (where y our Web addresses are stored) or what if you've made a mistake on a form and now every time you go to type that same field the incorrect information comes up before the correct data? What do you do then? W ell, the controls for this r emarkable remembering feature can be found in the I nternet options section of I nternet Explorer. Let's take a look, shall we? Launch Internet Explorer and then click the tools menu. Then click Internet options. The Internet options page opens with the general tab in front. It's on this page where you can set your start or home page, or even clear y our cookies or temporary files. Be cautious here, though. Deleting your cookies can cause some sites (such as banking or portal sites) to forget who you are and make you sign up all over again. N ext, let's click the content tab. Here you will find a section called personal information. It is in this section where we can turn on or off the auto complete feature (in case you want to disable it or maybe you told it no when it asked and you now want to turn it on). Click the auto complete button and you are presented with a number of options. You can use auto complete with W eb addresses, forms, user names and passwords. You can even tell it to ask you if y ou want to save passwords instead of automatically saving them for you, useful if other people use your computer. M ade a mistake on a form field or two and want to clear them out so you can have it come up correctly? Click the clear forms button and all of the form fields that it has r emembered for you will be forgotten. Now, go back to that pesky field that was always coming up misspelled and enter it r ight. Of course, you'll have to enter all of your other form data, but that's easy enough, just enter it as you encounter it and the computer will r emember. W e want to be good stewar ds of the community Ministr yF rom page A8 687570 Diabetes mellitus or sugar diabetesis a common endocrine disorder that affects dogs and cats of all ages. Diabetes mellitus is a deficiency in the hormone insulin. Insulin is produced in the pancreas and its function is to bind glucose from the blood and take it to the tissues where it is the main source of energy. The overwhelming predisposing factor in diabetes of pets is a history of obesity. This is one of the main arguments for maintaining a healthy weight, and to refrain from giving our pets people food which tends to be high in fat and can cause pancreatitis. The main clinical signs are increased thirst and urination. There are many disorders that can do this, but in my e xperience, when a client, without any prompting from me, offers that their pet is drinking and urinating excessively, it is usually diabetes mellitus. The kidney can handle glucose and prevent spillage in the urine.A diabetic pet has so much glucose in the urine, that it exceeds the renal threshold. The sugar draws more water into the urine, which causes an increase in urine produced. This can lead to kidney disease, and urinary tract infections.High concentrations of glucose in the urine provides a fertile environment for bacterial growth. Diabetic pets usually have a history of obesity, but as the diabetes progresses, weight loss ensues.Diabetic dogs are also predisposed to cataract formation. The diagnosis of diabetes mellitus is very straightforward. An elevated blood glucose along with glucose in the urine, confirms the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus. Management of the disease is with a strict diabetic diet and insulin injections.Oral management is used frequently in humans, but it is ineffective in the management of diabetes mellitus in pets.Insulin injections are given once to twice daily. Cats almost always require twice a day injections. In our practice, we send home charts with our diabetic pet owners that outline how to monitor their pets diabetic requirements. We ask our canine pet owners to test their dogs urine every morning, and adjust the dose of insulin given accordingly.A log of the amount of daily insulin given is kept by the owner, and used as a guide in determining the correct dose to give based on the urine test strip results.Cats do not urinate on command, so they must be managed by having their blood glucose levels checked at our practice until they are managed adequately. This is usually done weekly until the insulin and glucose levels are stable. In its fifth year, many favorites are back, along with some new additions. The event will include Ba nfi wine seminars, street painting, festival rides, games, Villa Marzia Limon C ello bar and the Budweiser piazza. Lucie High School drama department has spent months practicing, and the public will soon see and hear the r esults of their hard work. The group will perform the musical Singing in the R ain for two weekends, beginning Jan. 27. The students started practicing in September, said Patrick Madden, drama director for the school. A pproximately 40 highschool students from all grade levels will be in the play, but Mr. Madden said a lot more are contributing to the production in other ways. There are 40 students in the cast, and about 25 students in the orchestra that will be performing the music for the show, he said. The play is an old-fashioned musical about movie making that MGM studios made famous with Gene K elly in the lead role. And for the first time, the special effects for the musical will include actual r ain inside the high school auditorium. I t was a big challenge, Mr. Madden said. We had to be sure we could build a system that could make it r ain on stage. He pointed out that in his 23 years of teaching here, he had never done this musical, but felt the time was right. W e have some really good male tap dancers, so this musical will fit really w ell, he said. In the past, the school has showcased a variety of other musicals, including G r ease, Beauty and the B east, Oliver and the M usic Man, to name a few. In addition, it wont be just the leads tapping around the stage. E veryone in the show is tap dancing, he said. They have all been trained by a choreographer. W e usually draw between 4,000 and 5,000 people, Mr. Madden said. I t has become a community-wide event, and we worked hard to put on the program. Lucie Jaguars relinquished a double-digit lead late and eventually fell to Fo rt Pierce Central in a 5955 overtime defeat. In front of their home crowd on Friday, the J aguars created a different narrative. An opportunistic defense in the first half and a stifling defense in the second quarter allowed the J aguar boys basketball team to get an important 59-46 district victory over the Cobras Friday night at Po rt S t. Lucie High School. The importance of the victory was not lost on the J aguar head coach. I t s a big win for us in r egards to district seeding, said Rodriguez. The kids we re r eally excited about this game because we felt we gave them that first game. So it was a big win on a couple of levels. The win for the Jaguars (9-7; 5-2) puts them in a tie with the Central (9-6; 5-2) for second in the District 12-7A standings. The win for Port St. Lucie is also their third consecutive victory overall, putting them two games over .500 for the first time all season. The Cobras opened the contest playing their typical up-tempo style, pushing the ball in transition after Jaguar misses and getting quality shots up before Po rt S t. Lucie got set in their 2-3 zone. Its been the C obras trademark all season as they jumped out to 16-13 after the first quarter. The key to the quarter, however, was Port St. L ucies ability create turnovers and turn them into points. Of the 13-first half points, 7 came off of turnovers. And after creating turnovers on each of C entrals first four possessions of the second quarter, the Jags were able to capitalize by taking their first lead and never fell behind again. The key to the first half was getting balanced offense. While Centrals R aquan Dobson exploded for 19 first half points, the J aguars had four players with more than 6 points. Although the game was played at a Cobra pace, the J aguars held a 33-31 lead at halftime. Entering the second half, C entral made a strategic change, switching from man-to-man to zone. The z one is installed to force perimeter shots, but the change may have been counter-productive as the z one slowed the game down to a halt. Po rt S t. Lucie showed patience handling the z one, swinging the ball around the perimeter before taking the best available shot. The Jaguars coupled their composure on offense with aggression on defense, particularly from Fr ank Martin. Martin, a three-year starter relegated to the bench two weeks ago, provided energy and was largely responsible for holding Cornelius Peterson, Centrals leading scorer, to just 2 points for the game. In addition to the struggles for Peterson, Dobson did not score in the second half. T aken out of their rhythm and pace, Central would go on to only score 15 second half points. Centrals 46 points is their lowest point total on the season. Their previous season low came in a 61-50 defeat at the hands of Treasure C oast on Dec. 14. Leading the Jaguars were big men Jon Williams and Domenico Santiago who each contributed 13 points. They have size and girth, said Rodriguez. We try to get the ball inside and on the defensive end make sure they box out and r ebound. I f we get those two guys working, putting pressure on the other team, it works out as an advantage because they are big and physical, he said. Hello, smart shoppers. I have a reader request for pickled garlic. It seems a good friend who has since passed away made it and no one thought ahead to get the recipe. Make sure you sit that special someone down and record their r ecipes. Many recipes are original treasures and cannot be replaced or duplicated. We all know that fish is a healthy dinner choice but for me, its a healthy snack choice as well. Smoked fish spread is one of my favorites but I dont like the price or the list of ingredients, preservatives and all. Leave it to my son, Guy, to come up with an easy delectable r ecipe. Nova lox is another of my favorites, but the price is astronomical. Thanks to Mel Ya r ish and Cathy Lucey we have a homemade recipe. It is actually called gravlox and is also a Scandinavian specialty. Served with low-fat bagels, crackers or celery sticks, these snacks are amazingly satisfying. Then theres a recipe that is not low fat or low cholesterol. It s been years since I printed J ewish chopped chicken livers but its a must have in addition to your list of appetizers. Enjoy. See you next week. G G UYS S UYS S M M O O KE KE D D F F I I S S H S H S P P R R EAD (N EAD (N I I B) B) Y ou can make this virtually fat free by using fat-free mayonnaise. Chopped chicken liver or chicken liver pate is a Jewish specialty and absolutely wonderful. Served cold with crackers or rye r ounds, chopped liver is a favorite even among those who hate liver! The original recipe was made with schmaltz (chicken fat); too rich for me. You can cut the cholesterol somewhat by using a butter substitute or canola oil for 1/4 of the butter. When my son, Bill, took gourmet cooking classes, the ingredients with the asterisk (*) were added. I believe they enhance the flavor. You can use the recipe as is, or omit the starred ingredients. 1 pound chicken livers, r insed and trimmed of fat 1 stick butter (1/2 cup) 4 hard boiled eggs 1 teaspoon dry mustard* 1/8-teaspoon cayenne pepper* Pinch of nutmeg* 1-1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt 1/2-teaspoon black pepper 1 medium onion, coarsely chopped S aut livers in butter, browning well until no pink r emains.
