I was so thrilled. It en-US is such an important role (that en-US he plays). He takes that job en-US very seriously. He never comen-US -en-US plains about having to go to en-US church.en-US Mr. Dietrich said, It was en-US huge for us. Warren truly en-US enjoys serving. It is one of the en-US few times he is up and dressed en-US and ready to go. en-US Warren enjoys basketball en-US and plays on a Police Athletic en-US League team and a Port en-US Orange Recreation team. He en-US won a basketball free throw en-US contest at Our Lady of Hope in en-US February and went on to win en-US the Knights of Columbus en-US regional free throw competien-US-en-US tion. Much of Warrens time en-US out of school is spent on his en-US involvement with the U.S. en-US Naval Sea Cadet Corps proen-US -en-US gram where he has earned the en-US rank of Petty Officer. en-US Tim Mell, Grand Knight of en-US the Our Lady of Hope Knights en-US of Columbus Council, said the en-US altar service awards are one of en-US many areas the Knights are en-US involved with. He relied on en-US feedback from Deacon Mike en-US Rosolino who is in charge of en-US altar servers at Our Lady of en-US Hope before he nominated en-US Warren and Baylee for considen-US -en-US eration. en-US The winners are picked by en-US the statewide Knights group, en-US Mr. Mell said. We are overen-US -en-US joyed that our two got picked en-US and won. In my career as being en-US the Grand Knight, it is one of en-US my highest accomplishments en-US that I achieved having our kids en-US get that.en-US Fr. It was en-US actually hard choosing only en-US two of our servers to submit en-US for this award because we have en-US so many great kids who love en-US serving at Mass.en-USBut, We are not going to arrest en-US our way out of this problem. It en-US needs to start from the house en-US to the church to every aspect of en-US society to say enough is enough en-US and we will not tolerate it anyen-US-en-US more.en-US Dr. James Fenley, SMA en-US Behavioral Healthcare Director en-US of Addiction Service, emphaen-US-en-US sized shame plays a big factor en-US in drug abuse. He en-US said they are not capable of en-US making healthy choices.en-US SMA services also stress the en-US importance of peer support en-US and therapy.en-US The problem hit home for en-US Volusia Sheriff Mike Chiten-US-en-US wood, who said his own son-en-US in-law has an opioid problem. en-US He said he sees grandparents en-US having to raise their grandchilen-US -en-US dren on a daily basis. en-US Who is raising the collateral en-US damage that is being done by en-USthis horrible horrible drug? he en-US asked. Education should not en-US be put at the side. There has got en-US to be a comprehensive en-US approach. It is not one stakeen-US-en-US holder, it is all of us.en-US Daytona Beach Police Chief en-US Craig Capri said, It is a war we en-US are fighting, and we are going en-US to win, but it is going to take a en-US lot of different components to en-US make that happen. From public en-US awareness to educating these en-US kids at a young age and to famen-US -en-US ilies at home trying to stop en-US these kids. When you see en-US something, do something, not en-US just say something. en-USPort Orange/South Daytona/Ponce Inlet/Daytona Beach Shores A-3 Touch. Taste. Sight. Smell. Sound. All important. The last one, sound, is what Florida State Hearing Aids specializes in.Owner Julie Pruitt opened Florida State Hearing Aids Inc. in 2004 in order to bring a more affordable and wider variety of hearing aids to my clientele, she said. Ms Pruitt is assisted by Patient Care Coordinator Samantha Carpenter whose job is to schedule patients appointments, pre-authorizations, billing, and assist with the cleaning and maintenance of hearing aids. She has been with Florida State Hearing Aids for six years, working an additional eight years with Ms Pruitt before that. When asked what makes her business unique, Ms. Pruitt said, My business gives individual one on one service to every client. You wont walk in two weeks after you purchase your hearing aids and get a random person that doesnt really care about you at all, they dont know you, they didnt test or fit you, and you feel left out in the cold. For en-US decades, there has been a big en-US push to get all high school en-US graduates a college degree. en-US Fine, but what about the en-US trades? We still need skilled en-US people who are willing to en-US work with their hands. You en-US cant call a doctor or lawyer to en-US unclog the pipes in your en-US house, or a scientist to fix your en-US electricity. Where will we get en-US the talented people who keep en-US this great country running en-US from the ground up?en-US Lets face it, we have all en-US known folks with college en-US degrees who must flip fast en-US food burgers or cut grass to en-US make ends meet. So, many en-US times, it is difficult for a en-US college grad to find the type of en-US work he or she is trained for. en-US Degrees like philosophy or en-US the arts are sometimes hard to en-US convert into actual cash. Too en-US often, youngsters are being en-US trained for jobs that dont en-US actually exist, while here in en-US the real world, employment en-US abounds for the skilled en-US laborer. en-US Sometime back, I had the en-US central air-conditioning en-US system replaced at our house. en-US The company I chose sent out en-US two fellows to do the job. One en-US was an experienced technien-US -en-US cian, while the other was a en-US 19-year-old boy fresh out of en-US high school. en-US As I watched, the kid was en-US nothing short of amazing. He en-US knew his job backwards and en-US forwards, leaving the older en-US man with little to do. When I en-US complimented him, he said he en-US was only working to save en-US enough money for college. I en-US spent the rest of my time with en-US him trying to convince him to en-US stay put and make a career of en-US heating and air conditioning. I en-US dont believe he listened.en-US Four years ago, TV personen-US -en-US ality Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs) en-US started a foundation to try to en-US do something about this en-US disparity. Mr. Rowe heads up en-US something called the Work en-US Ethics Scholarship Program. en-US He has given out millions to en-US people who train for jobs that en-US require workers to be early en-US risers, diligent workers who en-US will stay late and will promise en-US to give it their all. en-US Now understand, Mike only en-US hands out money to those who en-US can show they have a strong en-US work ethic. You are required to en-US submit references (no, your en-US mom wont do) and sign a en-US pledge to work toward en-US becoming a self-sufficient en-US American. He says you have en-US won the lottery by residing in en-US the greatest country in the en-US world, but if you do not share en-US his values, you need not apply. en-US I love it! en-US Now dont misunderstand, I en-US did send my daughter, Shayla, en-US and son, Landan, to college en-US and am proud she is a school en-US nurse and he is a miden-US -en-US dle-school teacher. They are en-US both happy in their chosen en-US fields. Still, I regret neither en-US will ever enjoy the income en-US their old dad made working as en-US a contractor. Working with en-US your hands can be very en-US rewarding. en-US Right now, skilled tradesmen en-US are at a premium while en-US attorneys are plentiful. Sure, all en-US of us want the best for our kids, en-US but perhaps sending them to en-US college is not it. Not everyone en-US is university material, but that en-US doesnt mean they are relegated en-US to be second-class citizens. A en-US good auto mechanic is worth en-US his weight in gold and now en-US becoming ever more difficult en-US to find. In addition to serven-US-en-US ing as the top examiner, Dr. en-US Throgmorton will use a newly en-US approved budget for improven-US -en-US ing processes, clearing out en-US existing storage items that en-US should not be there and worken-US -en-US ing to get control over the en-US backlog of autopsy reports.en-US I called Dr. Stephen Nelen-US -en-US son, (chairman of the Florida en-US Medical Examiners Commisen-US-en-US sion) on May 21 I was conen-US-en-US cerned about the issues in (Dr. en-US Zydowiczs) letter. said Counen-US -en-US ty Manager James Dinneen at en-US the June 5 council meeting.en-US Mr. Dineen, who also en-US announced this month he will en-US be resigning his post, added en-US Dr. Nelson highly recomen-US-en-US mended Dr. Thorgmorton to en-US assist with the issues by doing en-US a review of Volusias facility.en-US Dr. Throgmorton is a en-US well-seasoned, experienced en-US medical examiner, Mr. Dinen-US -en-US neen told council members. en-US He is the medical examiner en-US for District 6, which is Pinellas en-US and Pasco counties -hes been en-US there for nearly 19 years. The en-US man has tremendous credenen-US -en-US tials, tremendous experience en-US and a reputation second-to-en-US none.en-US Dr. Throgmorton visited the en-US countys facility May 25 to do a en-US review based on the letter by en-US Dr. Zydowicz, and Mr. Dinen-US -en-US neen said he discussed the en-US possibility of hiring the doctor en-US to take over on an interim en-US basis while the county en-US searched for a new patholoen-US -en-US gist.en-US Especially if were going to en-US find a new medical examiner, en-US and were going to follow the en-US states process, its going to take en-US awhile, said Mr. Dinneen, en-US adding the office is already en-US under-staffed and the office as en-US well as the position of chief en-US medical examiner are critical.en-US In his review, Dr. Throgen-US -en-US morton told county council en-US members he believed the 39 en-US employees Dr. Zydowicz called en-US for her in letter is excessive, en-US although additional employees en-US are needed.en-US The staffing, coolers, en-US administrative support and en-US the backlog are all linked en-US together like a web, he said. en-US What Im saying is, the proceen-US -en-US dures in the morgue involves a en-US lot of changes, and its slow, en-US and its inefficient, and it ties en-US in to other issues (such as en-US using speech recognition soften-US -en-US ware instead of transcriptions en-US for reports and others).en-US Council members, following en-US much discussion and someen-US -en-US what heated debate, voted 5-1 en-US to hire Dr. Throgmorton as en-US interim chief medical examinen-US-en-US er, with council member en-US Heather Post casting the only en-US dissenting vote.en-USExamineren-USFrom page A1

en-USA4 Port Orange/South Daytona/Ponce Inlet/Daytona Beach Shores en-USKnown for years for his en-US work heading up Halifax en-US Urban Ministries, Mark en-US Geallis is set to take the reins en-US as executive director of the en-US much anticipated First Step en-US homeless shelter being built en-US in Daytona Beach. en-US The First Step board is en-US expected to ratify his conen-US-en-US tract June 27 and he most en-US likely will officially begin en-US after July 4.en-US There were more than 150 en-US applicants for the position. en-US The other top candidate, en-US Mary Flynn Boener, has en-US since accepted a job in Georen-US -en-US gia.en-US Mr. Geallis job wont be en-US easy.en-US The majority that we will en-US be dealing with are the en-US chronic homeless as defined en-US by the federen-US -en-US al governen-US -en-US ment, he en-US said. We en-US know there en-US are probably en-US 500 to 1,000 en-US in the comen-US -en-US munity that en-US have long-en-US term homeen-US -en-US lessness.en-US Keeping the newly homeen-US -en-US less from hitting the chronic en-US level also is important, Mr. en-US Geallis said. I think if we en-US can offer them shelter and en-US assistance right away, I think en-US we can head off a lot of newly en-US homeless from ever becomen-US -en-US ing chronic homeless.en-US The shelter will be just as en-US its name implies a first step.en-US The object is not to stay en-US in the shelter forever, Mr. en-US Geallis said. Hopefully we en-US will be able to get them stabien-US -en-US lized, either self-sustaining en-US or housed under one of the en-US federal housing programs. I en-US think we will be able to help en-US probably 250 to 400 people en-US with those 140 beds each en-US year.en-US Catholic Charities will en-US actually take care of most of en-US the operation.en-US My biggest challenge will en-US be funding, he said. Espeen-US -en-US cially funding to do it right en-US so we dont just warehouse en-US the homeless or become a jail en-US diversion program. My goal en-US is to get people out of homeen-US -en-US lessness, to give them the en-US tools and resources to recoven-US-en-US er. en-US Funds are available to run en-US the shelter for at least two en-US years, but sustainability is en-US key.en-US The government provided en-US the initial seed money, he en-US said, but First Step shelter is a en-US non-profit and will need en-US ongoing community supen-US-en-US port.en-US Not all municipalities have en-US agreed to contribute funden-US-en-US ing, he noted.en-US But the new shelter already en-US has some help with Hope en-US Place opening in Holly Hill en-US and serving homeless famien-US-en-US lies.en-US It is a blessing to be laser en-US focused on the single homeen-US -en-US less and just operating the en-US best shelter we can to help en-US people, Mr. Geallis said. en-US The thing that is missing in en-US our community is shelter en-US and that is why I am so exciten-US -en-US ed that First Step can finally en-US let our community have shelen-US -en-US ter.en-US He believes it was public en-US sentiment that led to local en-US governments collaborating en-US on the shelter.en-US I love this community, en-US Mr. Geallis said. I believe a en-US shelter of this size will have en-US a dramatic impact on the en-US visual homeless in our en-US community. People can en-US come back from homelessen-US-en-US ness. I am excited about it. en-US He acknowledged First en-US Step wont totally solve en-US homelessness, but it will be en-USa big piece of the puzzle. He en-US anticipates the shelter to en-US open in the Spring of 2019. en-US As someone who has en-US worked on the homeless en-US problem for years, Mr. en-US Geallis attributed his motien-US-en-US vation on combating homeen-US -en-US lessness to a quote he heard en-US before he started at HUM.en-US A homeless man told a en-US police officer, People can en-US come here and feed the en-US ducks, but they cant feed en-US me. en-US Mr. Geallis said, Ever en-US since that day, this group of en-US homeless people has been en-US my passion and my heart. en-US This is where God has en-US intended for me to be. I have lived here 17 years en-US myself. en-US You say restaurants are decent. Well, I and a lot of others en-US want more than just decent ones. I among others do still have a en-US life and still travel to work. Everyone in Edgewater is not retired en-US and happy to gather with other retirees and the local decent en-US restaurants to hang out. en-US You are right on one point, some people are negative and en-US self-centered that apparently because they are happily retired en-US ,they think that everyone else should be, too. You say nobody en-US you know is asking for new restaurants, well a handful of retirees en-US dont get to decide what everyone else wants. You must not be en-US reading the Hometown News very long because there have been en-US many rants about this.en-USAwful hotelen-USOn a recent visit to Daytona Beach to see family, I stayed at the en-US Hilton for four days, thinking it was a higher-end hotel. en-US The day we arrived there was hair in the bathroom on the en-US floor. There were rags hanging over the shower bar and we found en-US underwear under one of the tables. I think the only thing they en-US did was make the bed. en-US I reported it to the manager and he did nothing about it for en-US four days. I think that is outrageous. I will never come back to en-US Daytona Beach.en-USSecurity camerasen-USMy rant is about the banks and the stores security cameras. en-US Do you ever notice every time someone robs a place they en-US always put up a picture of a big black blob and say does anyone en-US recognize this person? In this day and age of cheap, high-definien-US -en-US tion cameras, you would think they could at least get one where en-US you could see peoples faces. en-USWasting good clothesen-USI know there are plenty of organizations out there that are en-US looking for good used or brand new clothes. en-US I was shocked the other day when we dropped off four nice en-USPhoto courtesy of Food Brings Hopeen-USThe Eastern Regional Interstate Child Support Association recently hosted their annual conference at en-US the Plaza Resort and Spa in Daytona Beach Shores. With USGS, we cooperatively monen-US -en-US itor flow in the main stem of the St. Johns en-US at 14 stations, and the district monitors en-US another 41 locations along the rivers en-US mainstem and mainstem lake locations, en-US plus numerous locations in the headwater en-US marshes and tributary systems.en-US The St. Johns also is full of folklore. It en-US has long served as a transportation route, en-US home to many Native American villages, en-US supported trading posts, provided food, en-US such as fish and blue crabs, and was the en-US focus of the Highwaymen traveling arten-US -en-US ists. The St. Johns and the many other riven-US -en-US ers throughout the district continue to en-US support Floridas economy, provide recreen-US-en-US ation for residents and visitors alike, and en-US display unmatched aesthetic value.en-US Some of our staff get to enjoy these en-US waterways as part of their daily work, en-US whether they are taking water quality en-US samples, investigating aquatic plants and en-US animals and their dependence or impacts en-US on water, or conducting intricate and en-US long-term analysis of water flows and leven-US -en-US els.en-US We have much to celebrate all along the en-US St. Johns. We see water quality improveen-US-en-US ments in its northern portion associated, en-US in part, with district cost-share projects en-US geared at reducing stormwater, agriculen-US-en-US tural and other nutrient loading. We also en-US have a more complex, four-decades-long en-US restoration project at the headwaters of en-US the St. Johns River that has been recogen-US -en-US nized nationally for its magnitude and en-US success.en-US I appreciate the districts dedicated staff en-US who have learned so much about the river en-US and continue to earn national and interen-US -en-US national honors for their work in this field en-US and with many partners. Some hotel en-US operators just dont like to en-US write that big check to the en-US county for March too quickly en-US even though they already en-US collected the money. I guess en-US they just want to bask in the en-US glow of all that money they en-US made during Bike Week.en-US Anyway, bed tax collections en-US were up a whopping 20.37 en-US percent in April from April en-US last year. Countywide collecen-US -en-US tions for the month (there is a en-US separate tax collected for each en-US of the three tourism marketen-US -en-US ing areas) went over $1 en-US million for the first time at en-US $1.19 million.en-US So, its better to look at the en-US year-to-data to give a more en-US accurate picture of what is en-US going on. Through the first en-US four months of the year, the en-US countywide collection was en-US about $4.8 million, up about 8 en-US percent from $4.5 million last en-US year. en-US So, that 8 percent increase en-US translated to 800 more en-US tourism jobs, if the state en-US non-agricultural employment en-US report can be believed. I dont en-US know how many of those were en-US in Flagler.en-US With the summer tourism en-US season in full swing, its safe to en-US say we dont have to worry en-US about that area of our en-US economy.en-US The tourism jobs will just en-US keep coming, too, especially en-US with the opening of The en-US Daytona (the Marriott en-US Signature hotel at One en-US Daytona) later this year. There en-US also is a Home 2 Suites by en-US Hilton about to open in en-US Daytona Beach.en-US ***en-US Speaking of employment, en-US the latest report was just en-US released by the state, showing en-US the unemployment rate stayed en-US at 3.5 percent in May. Just like en-US in April, there were fewer than en-US 9,000 workers unemployed. In en-US a workforce that totaled en-US 256,310, thats really a drop in en-US the bucket.en-US Employers in much of the en-US state are having the same en-US problem as ones in Volusia en-US with finding workers, so en-US maybe we can add a line to the en-US Welcome to the Sunshine en-US State signs Need a Job?en-US ***en-US Banking mergers have en-US gotten kind of far and few en-US between, but we finally have en-US another one, the first since en-US CenterState Bank bought en-US Gateway Bank late in 2016. en-US Seacoast Bank, which has en-US offices in Daytona Beach, en-US Ormond Beach and Port en-US Orange is acquiring First en-US Green Bank, which also has an en-US office in Ormond Beach.en-US ***en-US Apparently Curaleaf, a en-US medical marijuana distributor, en-US has found a way to get around en-US Daytona Beachs moratorium en-US on medical-marijuana en-US dispensaries. en-USA8 Port Orange/South Daytona/Ponce Inlet/Daytona Beach Shores en-USIen-USm a big fan of the social en-US media site LinkedIn. en-USIts a good way to en-US connect with other profesen-US -en-US sionals, both in finance and en-US in other related fields. en-US Recently I was online and en-US saw a post from Daniel en-US Crosby, Ph.D., president of en-US Nocturne Capital. His Ten en-US Things That Smart Investors en-US Never Say was so good I just en-US had to share it with my en-US readers! (The numbered en-US quotes are Dr. Crosbys, but en-US the comments that follow are en-US mine.)en-US 1. I got a great stock tip en-US from a friend of a friend. en-US Did your mom ever say, If en-US Jimmy jumped off a bridge, en-US would you do it, too? Do en-US you act as an individual or do en-US you go along with the crowd? en-US Following the actions and en-US emotions of a group of en-US people could be dangerous to en-US you, and your finances.en-US 2. This time is different. en-US Nope. It probably isnt. A en-US tiger is still a tiger, no matter en-US how many times you feed it.en-US 3. I should have seen the en-US crisis coming. en-US I have four crystal balls in en-US my office, but none of them en-US work! The best way to avoid en-US a crisis is to plan for it en-US ahead of time! en-US 4. I check my account on en-US the hour. en-US Are you more sensitive to en-US losses than gains, and so en-US stressed by the fear of loss en-US you have to keep checking en-US your investments? Again, I en-US believe good planning and en-US proper diversification of your en-US assets can keep a person en-US from becoming obsessed en-US with every movement of the en-US market.en-US 5. This is a cant miss! en-US Yes, it can miss. Ask 20,000 en-US ex-Enron employees.en-US 6. It just feels right. en-US Maybe its just me, but I en-US prefer well-thought-out en-US financial decision-making en-US versus quick decisions en-US influenced by emotions. en-US Dont you?en-US 7. but (the TV expert) en-US said en-US Ive said it before; just en-US because someone is on en-US television or radio does not en-US mean they are an expert or en-US they are privy to inside en-US information. (And, even en-US experts can be wrong.)en-US 8. Rebalance? Why en-US bother? en-US Keeping your investments en-US static over many years could en-US be a mistake. Mutual fund en-US holdings change. So do their en-US ratings and performance. en-US You may be too heavily en-US allocated in one industry or en-US sector. It might be time for a en-US review.en-US 9. Im on a hot streak en-US right now! en-US Its hard to get up from the en-US blackjack table when you are en-US winning. Past performance is en-US not indicative of future en-US results! Why not walk away en-US with gains rather than risk it en-US all and lose everything?en-US 10. I can always start en-US saving later. en-US You can choose a smaller en-US reward now (buying unnecen-US -en-US essary items today), or a en-US larger reward later (a en-US well-funded retirement en-US account for the future). en-US Which should you choose?en-US These were insightful en-US quotes, dont you think? en-US Have you ever thought, or en-US said, any of them yourself? en-USA12 Port Orange/South Daytona/Ponce Inlet/Daytona Beach Shores en-USUen-USnfortunately one of the en-US most popular fishing en-US spots in Volusia County en-US bears the unsavory moniker of en-US The Toilet bowl. en-USIt has been that for all of the en-US 40-plus years I have fished en-US there. The T-Bowl is a place en-US where five streams converge en-US creating a strong eddy that en-US sometimes traps surface en-US debris. The name has nothing en-US to do with the water quality.en-US It sits at the gateway of some en-US of the best red drum fishing in en-US this area, but many anglers are en-US compelled to stop and throw a en-US bait into the deep water en-US whirlpool. The T Bowl sits less en-US than a half mile south of High en-US Bridge and a couple hundred en-US yards west of the Halifax en-US River. The entrance is guarded en-US by a small island. en-US On a cloudy spring mornen-US -en-US ing, I paddled The Green en-US Peanut to the Toilet Bowl, en-US looking for spotted sea trout. en-US With the water warming, I en-US knew it would be tough en-US fishing. The tide also was not en-US in my favor since it was en-US slowing just a couple hours en-US before full high tide. In the en-US back water I prefer an en-US outgoing flow, but a strong en-US current in either direction is a en-US must. en-US Sure enough, fishing the en-US end of the tide produced en-US nothing. Just as the water en-US began going out, things did en-US pick up some. I began to get en-US soft hits on my plastic shrimp en-US tail jig, but only hits, no en-US takers. After a bit, a light rain en-US began to fall and I soon en-US landed four small trout, two en-US of which were 15-inch en-US keepers. No great shakes but a en-US definite improvement. en-US That morning there had en-US been several people fishing en-US from outboards and kayaks, en-US but when the rain picked up, en-US most ran for cover. That left en-US just one hardy soul in a camo en-US john boat and me. He and I en-US spoke about how slow the en-US fishing was and just then a en-US heavy rumble of thunder en-US sounded. I told him that once en-US about 10 years back I had been en-US fishing with no luck until a en-US thunderstorm came through, en-US turning the big trout on. The en-US fellow said he would like to en-US stay to test that theory, but en-US when lightning cracked in the en-US distance, he fired up his en-US engine to pull away. en-US Before he was out of sight, a en-US big 21-inch sea trout gobbled en-US up the chartreuse jig to give en-US me a run for my money. On en-US the very next cast, I hooked en-US one that had to be in the en-US neighborhood of 18 inches, en-US but the line popped. My fault, en-US I should have checked the en-US mono for abrasions after en-US landing the big fish. As soon en-US as I had a fresh bait tied on, l en-US had another big trout hit right en-US at the boat. en-US I knew I didnt have enough en-US line out, so after setting the en-US hook, I took a chance and en-US opened the bail to let the fish en-US swim a bit. Now I had it about en-US 25 feet out, a much safer en-US distance to play what turned en-US out to be a 19-inch trout. Now en-US I had a nice limit and thoughts en-US of hush puppies and fried en-US filets began to fill my mind. en-US On the way home I ponen-US -en-US dered what had happened. en-US What had turned the fish on? en-US Was it the turning tide or the en-US weather? I have to believe the en-US thunderstorm was the catalyst. en-US The darkened sky and the low en-US bass rumble combined with en-US the rain must have done the en-US trick. Now dont be foolish en-US and try to stay out in lighten-US -en-US ning, but dont be too quick to en-US avoid a little rain either. A en-US good squall just might help en-US you get a meal out of The en-US Toilet Bowl.en-US en-US Dan Smith has fished the en-US waters of Volusia County for en-US more than 40 years. Honey en-US found in Egyptian tombs over en-US 3,000 years old was still edible. en-US The Romans used honey to heal en-US wounds from battles. Hannibal en-US used honey and vinegar to feed en-US his troop when they crossed the en-US Alps. During World War I, en-US honey was used as an antibiotic en-US to bind the wounds of soldiers en-US in battle. The healing power of en-US honey is being studied and is en-US becoming better understood.en-US Honey bees are essential to en-US life on earth. It has been en-US projected if all honey bees were en-US to perish, in four years the food en-US supply on earth would be in en-US serious trouble.en-US There are more than 300 en-US varieties of honey and, here in en-US Florida, we are fortunate to have en-US access to many different types en-US of honey. en-US Blueberry honey has the en-US highest antibacterial properties, en-US and buckwheat honey is high in en-US antioxidants and cleanses the en-US liver. Eucalyptus honey is good en-US for your respiratory health. en-US Honey is antibacterial and en-US antiseptic. Raw, organic honey en-US contains hydrogen peroxide en-US that is released when it comes en-US into contact with moisture. Raw en-US honey as a sweetener doesnt en-US cause the blood sugar to spike. en-US It allows a much healthier en-US gradual increase in blood sugar en-US levels. And we only a need a en-US teaspoon of honey to make a en-US difference. en-US As a chef, it is really nice to en-US use an ingredient to cook with en-US that is healthy for you and also en-US tastes great.
