en-USI dont have much scientific en-US data, just a little experienceen-USI read over your article, For sake of en-US the future, a couple of times. While I en-US agree with a lot what is said about clien-US -en-US mate change, some of the people who are en-US pushing this theory have left out some en-US very important things.en-US Using scare tactics and unproven data, en-US some of these theories and the people en-US pushing them just havent done all of en-US their homework. I believe it is counteren-US -en-US productive to tell people that in an undeen-US-en-US termined number of years New York City en-US will be 25 feet below water because of the en-US melting Arctic ice cap.en-US While I believe New York might need a en-US little wash down, these scare tactics are en-US uncalled for. I can tell you from experien-US -en-US ence that, yes, some of the ice cap melts en-US in the summer. Ive lived in seasons near en-US the North Pole. In that dry atmosphere, en-US you would be surprised the lack of snow.en-US Yes, the snow and some of the ice melts en-US as the seasons moves from winter to en-US summer and, aside from the months of en-US total darkness, the sun eventually goes en-US near high noon and circles above with en-US total sunshine 24 hours a day for a few en-US months. en-US The ice and snow that accumulates en-US melts and runs back into the ocean that en-US which doesnt evaporate. But yet a few en-US inches under the soil, is permafrost. That en-US was a long time ago, in fact over a half en-US century ago. Some of us are still here and en-US New York City is still not underwater.en-US I dont have much scientific data, just a en-US little experience. Dont panic yet. When en-US our maker comes back, people will still en-US be here, will fly away with him and it en-US wont be because of the melting ice caps. en-USWhere are your manners?en-USWhen one reaches a certain age does en-US one, especially, especially old men, lose en-US their manners. When a man enters a en-US restaurant, he is supposed to remove his en-US cap or hat. Whats with these old guys en-US who dont know any better? Im sure they en-US were brought up differently. As far as en-US young men are concerned, you can thank en-US the old men for setting a bad example. By en-US the way, when a woman enters a room, a en-US gentleman stands! en-USStranger Danger is a mythen-USI see that a bureaucrat in law enforceen-US -en-US ment, The Florida Department of Law en-US Enforcement, has come up with another en-US feel good project to protect the public en-US from a non-existent threat.en-US I see this as a waste of tax payer money en-US in that it does absolutely nothing to make en-US the public safer and possibly puts at risk en-US the life of someone who has had a life en-US failure and is back on the road to being a en-US productive citizen, spouse and parent. en-US Numerous studies have shown that en-US those on the registry are, more than likeen-US-en-US ly, the least to be concerned with. Ninety en-US percent of sexual assault victims know en-US their attacker. Stranger Danger is a en-US myth.en-US Ninety-five percent of sexual offenses en-US are committed by someone who is not on en-US the registry. The recidivism rate for sex en-US offenders is 3.5 percent, the rate for all en-US classes of crime, is roughly 67 percent.en-US There is no scholarly study that conen-US-en-US clusively demonstrates that sex offender en-US registries make our communities any en-US safer, in fact they could contribute to en-US problems.en-US As a parent, I would be more conen-US -en-US cerned about what a drug dealer might en-US slip into my childs collection bag or who en-US is on the road so inebriated with holiday en-US cheer that I and my child might become en-US an unintended target. en-USIn response to climate change en-US ranten-USIn response to the recent rant towards en-US non-believers of climate change I offer en-US the following. Advancing man-made clien-US -en-US mate change is not so much a conspiracy en-US but rather a way for the left leaning, en-US socialist politicians to further control the en-US governed.en-US A quick google search found at least en-US five ice ages over the last two billion en-US years. The fact is the earth warms and en-US cools in cycles that cannot even begin to en-US be comprehended by human minds.en-US Science is based on fact and any en-US right-minded scientist will tell you a en-US sample size of 100 or 200 years (industrien-US-en-US al times) can not be used to make conen-US -en-US clusions as to causes of climate change en-US when changes have occurred for more en-US than two billion years. en-US So, why would scientist slant their en-US conclusions and say climate change is en-US man made? Follow the money. They en-US receive grants (i.e. tax money) from the en-US same politicians that so desperately want en-US to control our lives and use the hoax of en-US man-made climate change as the vehicle. en-US They need to give the desired conclusion en-US to keep their livelihood.en-US Lastly, until those who are so loudly en-US trying to force us non-believers to get en-US our minds right live their own lives conen-US-en-US sistent with their belief, such as dont en-USdrive, dont fly, dont use air conditionen-US -en-US ing, dont go to the grocery store, dont en-US go out to eat, dont use a computer or en-US dont use a cell phone, dont expect me to en-US be convinced. In other words, dont be a en-US hypocrite.en-USOlder trick or treaters leave en-US trash behinden en-US My wife and I collected trash walking en-US around one block in the Brentwood en-US Lakes gated community the morning en-US after Halloween. Eighty percent of en-US women with invasive breast cancer have en-US abnormally high amounts of HSF1, said en-US Dr. Eric Guisbert, associate professor. en-US Women that have breast cancer tumors en-US with the highest levels of HSF1 have the en-US worst outcomes with current therapies.en-US HSF1 is a key component of how noren-US -en-US mal cells respond to stress, but HSF1 en-US accumulates in cancer patients and canen-US -en-US cer cells become addicted to this protein. en-US This makes cancer cells more sensitive en-US to HSF1 inhibition than normal cells. en-US This new strategy could help patients en-US who do not respond well to current theren-US -en-US apies.en-US We have made a new discovery about en-US how HSF1 is controlled. We then used en-US this discovery as a basis to try to identify en-US a new anticancer drug. Thus far, we have en-US identified several lead compounds that en-US can inhibit HSF1, Dr. Guisbert said. en-US Now, we are undertaking the next steps en-US in the long road that we hope could en-US eventually result in a lifesaving new en-US therapy for breast cancer.en-US A second grant, for $39,523, will assist en-US Dr. Kunal Mitra, professor of biomedical en-US engineering, in additional cancer en-US research. The free concert is en-US part of the 2018-19 season of the Dr. en-US Vernon Boushell Concert Series and will en-US feature a solo performance by saxophonist, en-US Andrew Cleaver. en-US Bohemia is an artistically rich region in en-US the Czech Republic and the birthplace of en-US Czech Romantic-era composer Antonn en-US Dvork whose work will be spotlighted en-US during the concert.en-US The three-chamber orchestra and en-US chorus concert as part of the series are the en-US most costly, and hopefully, most en-US rewarding of our programs because they en-US bring together fine local musicians to en-US present music that is not commonly en-US performed by larger performance en-US organizations, said Richard Sabino, en-US Riverside Chamber Orchestra conductor. en-US It has been a gift to our community to en-US organize and develop the Riverside en-US Chamber Orchestra and Chorus. en-US Definitely, we need the generous support en-US of our audience and of the community to en-US continue these programs.en-US The concert will open with Variations en-US on a Theme of Tchaikovsky for string en-USorchestra by the Russian Romantic era en-US composer, Anton Arensky who was en-US influenced by Tchaikovsky. His en-US Variations are among his most popular en-US compositions. en-US Andrew Cleaver will be the featured en-US soloist for the Concerto for Saxophone en-US and String Orchestra by Russian en-US Composer, Alexander Glazunov. en-US Antonn Dvorks Serenade for Strings en-US will comprise the second half of the en-US program. Composed in only 12 days, it en-US remains one of the composers most en-US frequently performed orchestral works.en-US Mr. Sabino stated that the chamber en-US orchestra has 17 players as compared to a en-US typical symphony orchestra and hence en-US considers music that is written for strings en-US alone or with a limited number of wind en-US parts. Their selections are normally from en-US the Baroque or Classical period but en-US Bohemian Spirit has three pieces that en-US were written in the Romantic period. en-US Not many conductors are aware of the en-US many unique and entertaining concerti en-USBy Christine Edwardsen-USFor Hometown News Andrew Cleaver en-GBSeeen-GB en-GB BOHEMIANen-GB page 14en-GB Seeen-GB en-GB OUTen-GB page 15en-GB Seeen-GB en-GB SCOPESen-GB, page 19

18 en-USWen-UShat is veterans food? Anything en-US they want, because theyve en-US earned it. en-US First check all local restaurants, because en-US many offer discounts to veterans. On en-US Veterans Day, some operations offer free en-US meals to veterans from special menus en-US created to honor them. I love my industry. en-US Now what do veterans eat when they en-US come home after serving our country in a en-US foreign land? It seems they go back to their en-US roots and family. Food they were raised on en-US and remember dearly. Wonderful memories en-US created by their moms like fried chicken, or en-US meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Almost en-US every family has a favorite meal that was en-US made at home. en-US There are lots of froofroo foods out there en-US you know what I mean; red, white and en-US blue cookies or gelatin molds. Lets feed our en-US veterans the real stuff. A special meal en-US theyll really love. Something they deserve, en-US something from their childhood. Maybe a en-US special food that created a memory. You en-US need to make it special.en-US For some vets, the taste of home is food en-US they could not get for a long time, only en-US eating military MRE or Meals Ready to Eat. en-US It could be a great steak and potatoes. In en-US Florida fresh seafood is always a winner. en-US I just returned from a trip to New en-US Orleans and guess what I found there en-US besides great food the National WWII en-US Museum. If you want to know what our en-US veterans have given to this great country, en-US spend a day at that museum. It will remind en-US you of the great sacrifices our veterans en-US made. It will fill you with the spirit of what en-US veterans gave to this great country then and en-US now in all the conflicts since then, strengthen-US -en-US ening whatever our country faces in the en-US future.en-US My father came from Greece as a young en-US boy of 16 and traveled to Australia where he en-US joined the Australian Mounted Infantry to en-US fight in WWI. After the war ended, he en-US immigrated to the United States. When en-US WWII broke out, he tried to enlist in the en-US U.S. Army, but was told he was too old. en-US I could always see the spirit in his eyes as en-US he read the paper everyday about world en-US events, and he would always say how lucky en-US we were to live in this country and how en-US precious freedom was, but that it came at a en-US price. A price our veterans paid to give us en-US this great life we have here.en-US Please honor our veterans in your own en-US special way. And when it comes to food, en-US make it the best that it can be. en-US My Dads favorite meal was lamb; here is en-US his recipe.en-USROASTED LEG OF LAMBen-USIngredientsen-US 1 5-6 pound bone-in leg of lamb (USDA en-US Choice, not imported)en-US 1/4-cup olive oilen-US 5 cloves of garlic, sliced lengthwiseen-US 1/3-cup balsamic vinegaren-US 1/4-cup fresh squeezed lemon juiceen-US 1 teaspoon salten-US 1 teaspoon black pepperen-US 2 tablespoons leaf oreganoen-US 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, choppeden-US 2 cups celery, choppeden-US 2 cups carrots, chopped en-US 2 cups red onions, choppeden-US Directionsen-US In a small bowl mix olive oil, lemon juice, en-US oregano, rosemary, balsamic vinegar, salt en-US and pepper together.en-US Make 9-10 small slices all over the lamb. en-US Insert the garlic into the slices and rub the en-US entire lamb with the seasoning mix. en-US Layer a roasting pan with carrots, celery, en-US and onions and place leg of lamb on top en-US with the fat side up. Add 1 cup water and en-US 1/2-cup red wine to the pan. en-US Roast at 350 degrees for approximately en-US 1-1/2 hours or until a meat thermometer en-US reads 135 degrees internal temperature.
