The boat turned over due to an en-US uncontrolled torque as it turned, throwing en-US Donald Jones Jr., Donald Jones, Sr., and other en-US family members into the water. Dennis Jones, en-US who was living in Houston at the time of the en-US accident, recounts stories from that day.en-US My father went to save a girl, Mr. Jones said. en-US She lived and she was treated for hypothermia. en-US There was a lot of rain, a lot of coolness that Jan. en-US 10. My dad got out there and, you know, they en-US have hats and gloves its cold out. So, my en-US brother saw my dad having problems and he en-US stripped everything off and he went after my en-US father.en-US He continued, The focus was not on my en-US brother, who was helping my dad, it became en-US about the help that was coming from the bridge en-US that was right there. They were pulling [out] my en-US nephew, my nephews cousin and my mother. en-US They didnt know my dad and brother were en-US underwater at that point.en-US Sadly, Donald Sr. and Donald Jr. didnt make en-US it out of the water alive. However, they were the en-US only family members who perished that day.en-US The death of his father and brother spurred en-US Mr. Jones to take over the business his brother en-US started. As I en-US helped him later in life it was mostly cars en-US of the 70s. en-US Mr. Jones recalls helping his father en-US work on older model cars, as far back as en-US 1946 model Mercurys. Mr. Jones worked en-US for a number of auto mechanics, some en-US large and some local, before relocating to en-US Melbourne. en-US Mr. Jones knowledge of automobiles en-US continues to grow as automobiles evolve. en-US However, much of the same concepts he en-US learned from his father apply today. en-US There are a lot of things that remain en-US the same with cars, Mr. Jones said. You en-US see a steering wheel, you see doors, you en-US see tires, one of the biggest changes is in en-US the electronics. So, now when I work on en-US cars you see you may not have a compoen-US -en-US nent problem, you may have a flash proben-US -en-US lem, you may have a charging problem.en-US To ensure customers get the most value en-US for their visit, Mr. Jones frequently en-US exchanges services with other autobody en-US shops like AMCOs and calls various en-US wholesale mechanic suppliers to find the en-US most reasonably priced, quality parts. Mr. en-US Jones explains that due to the high volen-US -en-US ume of locals servicing their cars at Trans en-US II, there isnt much competition.en-US Reliability and dependability are two en-US things that people tend to look for in the en-US automobiles they drive. With cooler temps come en-UScolorful Fall gardensen-USWen-USith cooler temperatures (hopeen-US -en-US fully soon) and the fall season en-US just around the corner, many of en-US us want to start introducing color back into en-US our yards. A popular variety that is now en-US widely available at most garden centers is en-US Geraniums. Annual Geraniums are very en-US popular for their wide range of brilliant, en-US colorful flowers plus their foliage is also en-US very attractive. en-US The types and varieties of these colorful en-US plants vary widely from cultivars that grow en-US six inches high to some that grow to be en-US several feet tall. Geraniums need a bright en-US location with at least a couple of hours of en-US direct sun in order to thrive. These wonderen-US -en-US ful plants also need to be planted in en-US well-drained soil otherwise the plants will en-US be prone to fungus infection and disease. en-US After planting your colorful treasures, en-US you will want to water them abundantly the en-US first few days, taking care to be sure they en-US drain between watering. Water regularly en-US thereafter still ensuring the plants drain en-US and the soil to dry out between watering en-US intervals. When you water your plants, try en-US to avoid getting water on the leaves of the en-US plant as this can lead to possible disease en-US problems. Do not plant geraniums where en-US they will receive their water from a en-US sprinkler system. en-US Geraniums are heavy feeders and if not en-US fertilized properly, their leaves may yellow en-US and drop. There are several options you can en-US use for fertilizer such as a slow release en-US fertilizer or a water-soluble fertilizer. The en-US slow release fertilizer will need less en-US intervention on your part as some products en-US such as Osmocote and Dynamite feed for as en-US long as six months. Water-soluble fertilizers en-US such as Miracle Gro provide a more en-US immediate fix but will require more en-US frequent feedings about every two to three en-US weeks. The water-soluble feeding solutions en-US are quite safe and there is little chance of en-US burning your plants. en-US There are a couple of things you can do en-US to prolong how many flowers your plants en-US will produce. Probably the single most en-US important solution is to pinch the spent en-US flowers off the stems on a regular basis. en-US This will ensure a season beautiful color. en-US Pinching also has the advantage of helping en-US to produce well-branched and full plants. A en-US good rule of thumb when choosing your en-US treasures is to pick plants that not only have en-US abundant flowers but that have lots of tight en-US buds also. Look for dark green foliage with en-US not a lot of yellow leaves or yellowing at the en-US tips of the leaves.en-US Todays garden tip: If you are growing en-US Crotons in a container inside your home, en-US yellowing, dropping leaves can often be a en-US problem. To avoid or reverse this problem, en-US there are several things that can help. First en-US of all, you should try to keep your plants at en-US a fairly constant temperature. These en-US tropical plants also enjoy a humid, moist en-US climate so misting the plant will help raise en-US the humidity levels around the leaves for en-US optimal growth. Water your plants on a regen-US -en-US ular basis with tepid water and keep the soil en-US evenly moist. Be sure to provide bright light en-US near a window otherwise the plant may en-US shed leaves if the area is too dark. Also be en-US sure to fertilize once a month with a en-US water-soluble fertilizer. With a little care en-US and TLC, your colorful crotons will thrive en-US for many years to come and will add a en-US delicate tropical fare to your dcor. en-US Joe Zelenak has more than 30 years en-US experience in gardening and landscape. en-US 15 HTN2018HTN2018 JOIN J en-USust for the record, I dont really care, but en-US I love eggs and I think you should, too. en-US The chicken was probably domestien-US -en-US cated for its eggs from a jungle fowl around en-US 3200 B.C. according to Indian history. en-US Egyptian and Chinese records indicate fowl en-US were laying eggs for man in 1400 B.C., and en-US Europe has had domesticated hens since en-US 600 B.C. I find this interesting because the en-US jungle fowl was not raised for meat, but for en-US their eggs, creating one of our first sustainen-US -en-US able food sources. en-US Eggs are such an amazing food source en-US and often times misunderstood. Let me try en-US to clear up a few facts. Eggs contain the en-US highest quality of protein you can buy. The en-US protein from eggs has an almost perfect mix en-US of essential amino acid for humans to build en-US tissue. It is compared to the nutrition of en-US mothers milk.en-US Egg yolks are one of the few foods that en-US contain natural vitamin D. Egg whites and en-US egg yolks contain 3 grams of protein each. en-US One egg white contains 15 calories and one en-US egg yolk has 60 calories. en-US New clinical studies show dietary en-US cholesterol found in eggs has a modest en-US effect on blood cholesterol. The 2015-2020 en-US Dietary Guidelines have removed the 300 en-US mg dietary cholesterol limit, referencing the en-US fact all available evidence suggests there is en-US no relationship between consumption of en-US dietary cholesterol and levels of blood en-US cholesterol. en-US If you want to keep calories down, eat egg en-US whites.en-US Generally brown eggs are more expensive en-US than white eggs, but that is not an indicaen-US -en-US tion of quality. Chickens that lay brown en-US eggs are bigger than chickens that lay white en-US eggs. It costs more to feed these chickens, en-US resulting in a more expensive egg. en-US Egg cartons will advertise the type of eggs en-US you are buying, so lets look at some of the en-US hype. en-US Since 1950, the FDA has required that all en-US eggs are hormone free. en-US Cage free means a chicken has 120 square en-US inches to move about, but is still indoors en-US with not much room. Free range means en-US chickens have the ability to go outdoors and en-US come in at night, but often times not all en-US chickens will roam outside. en-US Pasture-raised hens will feed outdoors in en-US pastures, consuming a more nutrient-dense en-US diet with an increase in micronutrient en-US values. Certain antioxidant carotenoids like en-US lutein and beta-carotene in yolks can be up en-US to 100 times higher. en-US I personally believe the type of feed en-US chickens eat will affect the taste of eggs. My en-US suggestion is to try different eggs to make a en-US plain omelet and compare tastes. en-US Now here are some fun facts. Chickens en-US have earlobes, and if the color is white, the en-US eggs will be white. If the earlobes are red or en-US brown, the eggs will be brown. en-US All eggs are not the same size in your egg en-US carton either. Rather than en-US requiring a specific size en-US and weight for individual en-US eggs, the USDA has en-US guidelines for egg weights en-US per dozen. en-US You can tell if an egg is en-US cooked in the shell by en-US spinning it. A cooked egg en-US will spin like a top and raw en-US eggs will not. en-US The US produces 75 en-US billion eggs a year, which is en-US 10 percent of the worlds en-US supply. So now youre an en-US expert on eggs. en-US Oh, by the way, to cook en-US hard boiled eggs, place eggs in a one quart en-US pot, cover with water, bring to a boil and en-US take off the heat. Let the eggs cool. Perfect en-US every time! en-US Try this egg recipe that is great tasting en-US and nutritious.en-USEGGS FRITTATAen-USYield: 6 servings en-US en-US Ingredientsen-US 8 large eggs, beaten en-US 1 ounce Parmesan cheese, grated en-US 1/2 teaspoon black pepper en-US Pinch salt en-US 1 teaspoon butter and 1 teaspoon olive en-US oilen-US 1/4-cup half and halfen-US 1/2-cup chopped red pepperen-US 1/2-cup chopped tomato en-US 1/2-cup chopped red onionsen-US 1/2-cup chopped country ham en-US en-US Directions en-US Preheat oven to bake setting. en-US In medium size bowl, using a fork, blend en-US milk and eggs together, add Parmesan, en-US pepper, tomato, ham and salt.
