en-USCOAs Meals on Wheels en-US program needs volunteersen-USThe Council on Aging officially opened their en-US doors at a new Daytona Beach location Sept. 24 after en-US the agencys former administrative offices were en-US severely damaged from the wrath of Hurricane en-US Irma.en-US However, rebuilding continues in other ways as en-US volunteers for the agencys Meals on Wheels proen-US-en-US gram are sorely needed.en-US The new office is at 420 Fentress Blvd.en-US The COAs meals program needs a lot of help, said en-US Sarah Gurtis, president and CEO. On any given day en-US there are 70 routes.en-US The program also has to maintain the quality of en-US the meals, Ms. Gurtis said. We have to make sure en-US the food maintains its heat from the first stop en-US to the last stop."en-US The COA also is challenged because it is en-US adding Meals on Wheels clients. en-US We are anticipating quite a boost in the en-US Deland area after the first of the year, Ms. en-US Gurtis said. Some new private funding has en-US come to us, targeting food in the Deland en-US area. For that area specifically, we are definitely en-US going to need more volunteers because we are going en-US to have more money available to add more clients en-US and decrease that waiting list. (But) we need it en-US throughout the county.en-US Ms. Gurtis added no special skills are required en-US other than the ability to reach out and be a happy en-US face and be that touch point for the day. You volunen-US -en-US teer and you think you are giving, but in effect you en-US are en-US receiving as well.en-US Larry Lewis, 77, is a Port Orange resien-US-en-US dent who has been volunteering both in the COA en-US respite center and for Meals on Wheels since 2007. en-US I know the kinds of needs that people have, said en-US Mr. Lewis, a retired educator. Its just a matter of en-US deciding you want to be of service to people who en-USAs our election preview en-US continues, Hometown News en-US offers these candidate proen-US -en-US files for the Aug. 28 primary.en-US These are posts that someen-US-en-US times cross county lines, but en-US not always. They include en-US state legislative positions and en-US circuit judge for the 7th disen-US -en-US trict, which includes Flagler, en-US Putnam, St. Johns and Voluen-US -en-US sia counties. However, only en-US one group of the circuit has en-US challengers. en-USState Senator en-US District 14en-USMelissa Mel Martin, en-US D-Cocoa, is a native Floridien-US-en-US an, born in Orlando and en-US raised just outside Wekiwa en-US Springs en-US State Park.en-US Ms. en-US Martin, en-US 42, is a en-US graduate en-US of the U.S. en-US Naval en-US Academy en-US with a en-US bachelors en-US degree in en-US political en-US science. en-US Commissioned a U.S. Marine en-US Corps officer in 1998, she en-US served as an adjutant and en-US operational support until en-US selected for the Law Educaen-US-en-US tion Program. She graduated en-US from Barry University School en-US of Law in Orlando and then en-US served the rest of he USMC en-US career as a judge advocate. en-US She retired in 2014 and en-USElection preview: en-US Legislature and en-US circuit judge en-USRescue en-US A Life en-US seeks en-US to save en-US the catsen-USTracy Genovese is a crazy en-US cat lady of a different kind.en-US The Port Orange resident en-US feeds cats at 15 colonies en-US every night while working a en-US full-time day job and, at her en-US own expense, has paid for en-US spaying and neutering many en-US of them. en-US I have been doing this for en-US the past 20 years Ms. Genoen-US-en-US vese said. I do this seven en-US days a week, regardless of en-US rain, shine, hot, cold, hurrien-US -en-US canes, illness, family events en-US or functions, even family en-US deaths. I have done this even en-US when I have been warned of en-US being arrested for feeding. I en-US am dedicated to these anien-US -en-US mals and under no circumen-US -en-US stances can I leave them en-US without the help I have proen-US -en-US vided to them over the last en-US two decades.en-US She also took it a step furen-US -en-US ther, creating the Daytona en-US Beach-based non-profit Resen-US -en-US cue A Life in 2012 with other en-US individuals who have devoten-US -en-US ed years to caring for abanen-US-en-US doned, unwanted, freeen-US roaming cats and kittens. en-US The groups goal is to change en-US the world one rescue at a en-US time and reduce the number en-US of animals killed in shelters.en-US Photo courtesy of Rescue A Lifeen-USThis cat was recently dumped in Volusia County en-US and rescued by Rescue A Life. en-USThe truth about en-US fake newsen-USThese days you cant go anyen-US -en-US where without hearing the en-US term fake news. en-US Dr. Jelena Petrovic, a Stetson en-US University professor, aimed to en-US teach ways to determine the en-US validity of news stories on a en-US presentation Oct. 18 at the en-US Port Orange Regional Library.en-US Dr. Petrovic teaches in Steten-US -en-US sons Department of Commuen-US-en-US nication and Media Studies.en-US She stressed to know your en-US news, equals knowing your en-US sources, and presented some en-US disturbing statistics that claim en-US many high school students en-US couldnt tell a real news source en-US from a fake one.en-US Three months before the last en-US presidential election, she gave en-US examples of how Facebook, in en-US particular, was rampant with en-US fake posts.en-US Social media is now one of en-US the primary sources for people en-US to get their news, Dr. Petrovic en-US said. It is really easy and quick en-US to spread false information. en-US There are people who are puren-US -en-US posely writing fake informaen-US-en-US tion for various reasons. en-US She said fake news is written en-US for money, attention, fun and en-US provocation. Fake news can en-US include hoaxes, propaganda en-US and disinformation.en-US Newspapers also are guilty. en-US Many may remember the banen-US-en-US ner headline in the presidenen-US-en-US tial election of 1948 when the en-US front page of the Chicago en-US Daily Tribune proclaimed en-US Dewey Defeats Truman en-US when in reality Truman won. en-US Despite the number of docen-US -en-US umented examples of publishen-US-en-US ing false information, Dr. en-US Petrovic stressed news media en-US generally should be trusted.en-US The press makes mistakes en-US from time to time. Journalists, en-US like all humans, make misen-US -en-US takes, the professor quoted en-US from the Seman/Society of en-US Professional Journalists. The en-US professions standards aim to en-US reduce mistakes and irresponen-US-en-US sible behaviors, but theyre en-US bound to occur from time to en-US time. The goals are for misen-US-en-US takes to be quickly corrected en-US and people behaving irresponen-US-en-US sibly to be held accountable for en-US their actions. For en-US going to fulfill the mission of en-US holding powerful people to the en-US fire, it must also hold itself en-US accountable. en-US Dr. Petrovic stressed how en-US putting together a news story en-US is a process generally with en-US inherent checks and balances en-US built in. She stated ethical conen-US-en-US duct is key and using anonyen-US -en-US mous quotes in stories and off en-US the record comments tend to en-US make readers question their en-US validity. en-US You never use an anonyen-US-en-US mous quote unless it is absoen-US -en-US lutely necessary she said. en-US There has to be a reason.en-US In terms of retractions, facen-US -en-US tors to consider are the timelien-US -en-US ness of the correction or en-US retraction, the timeliness of en-US the news and size of the outlet en-US and the transparency about en-US ethical conduct and mistakes. en-US In the U.S., journalistic en-US objectivity is the mantra, Dr. en-US Petrovic said. (However) en-US many give news organizations en-US a low rating for impartiality.en-US One audience member en-US asked why corrections, unlike en-US the original information, are en-US not on front pages. Also, a en-US lively discussion ensued on the en-US topic of whether or not classien-US -en-US fied information should ever en-US be released.en-US The public can access weben-US -en-US sites to review information in en-US print or on social media. en-US PolitiFact is a fact-checking en-US website that rates the accuracy en-US of claims by elected officials en-USand others on its Truth-O-Meen-US -en-US ter. (formerly SIEMENS) MAY 2018 2018 C H O I C E 1R E A D E R S en-USI started doing this as a volen-US-en-US unteer for a local group back en-US in the s. This group started en-US colonies all over Volusia en-US County and after starting the en-US colonies, they basically abanen-US -en-US doned them and walked away, en-US she said. The cats came to en-US expect this one and only meal, en-US and they would sit and wait for en-US hours, days for this only meal. en-US This was not the cats fault that en-US this initial group walked away, en-US and I could not bear the en-US thought of just leaving them en-US and knowing they were waiten-US -en-US ing for this meal. I had to conen-US-en-US tinue doing what I volunteered en-US to do and help these animals.en-US Ms. Genovese started Resen-US -en-US cue A Life because of financial en-US struggles. She needed food, vet en-US care and fen-US unding for trap-neuen-US-en-US ter-release. By starting a en-US non-profit, she hoped she en-US would be able to apply for en-US grants, request help with cat en-US food, vets and help with feeden-US -en-US ing the colonies. en-US Her group has to overcome en-US problems caused by irresponen-US-en-US sible pet owners who failed to en-US spay or neuter their animals or en-US abandoned them.en-US Its not just cats either, the en-US group also is concerned about en-US dogs, rabbets, even pigs.en-US Over the years, I have seen en-US a wide variety of animals that en-US are dumped due to the irreen-US -en-US sponsibility of humans and it en-US is shameful, Ms. Genovese en-US said. We nen-US eed the communien-US-en-US tys help in understanding the en-US importance of spay and neuter. en-US We also need to educate peoen-US -en-US ple that no matter what their en-US situation may be, if you take en-US on an animal, you should be en-US keeping that animal, not abanen-US-en-US doning or dumping the anien-US -en-US mal. We have to remember en-US animals dont have a voice in en-US this matter. en-US Pascale Edwards has been en-US volunteering with the group en-US over the past year. en-US (Tracy) does a phenomenal en-US job. The energy and effort she en-US puts forth are beyond amazen-US -en-US ing, Ms. Edwards said. The en-US numbers (in the colonies) en-US would be a lot greater if TNR en-US (trap-neuter-release) efforts en-US werent happening. She puts so en-US much time and energy into it.en-US But, he said, she needs help. en-US She is doing this out of pocken-US -en-US et. If she could get some donaen-US -en-US tions of food or whatever it en-US may be that would be aween-US -en-US some. A volunteer or two en-US would help relieve her of some en-US of the time she is spending. en-US Any help would definitely be en-US appreciated, Ms. Edwards en-US said.en-US The RAL website adds In en-US addition to feeding hundreds en-US daily, a safe haven, rescue and en-US adoption program is provided en-US for those who have been disen-US -en-US carded, injured or abused. en-US Once their specific needs have en-US been met, they are placed up en-US for adoption in search of a foren-US -en-US ever loving family or companen-US -en-US ion, by way of a thorough en-US application and screening proen-US-en-US cess.en-US For more information, to en-US donate or volunteer, emailen-US en-US info@rescuealife.neten-US en-US or visit en-US rescuealife.net. The address is en-US PO Box 9146, Daytona Beach, en-US Fla., 32120. en-USYen-USes, the time for spooks, en-US goblins and tales of the en-US undead are upon us once en-US more. Like a lot of you, I enjoy a en-US good scary story and a few of en-US my past late-October offerings en-US have made an impression.en-USSome years back I wrote en-US about a late-night fishing trip en-US up to Matanzas Inlet where en-US the Spanish massacred the en-USFrench Huguenots in 1565. I en-US was fishing from the beach en-US just west of the bridge when a en-US heavy fog rolled in. Although I en-US was sure no one else was there en-US I began to see shadowy figures en-US moving about in the haze. en-US When I called out, no one en-US answered. I beat a hasty retreat en-US vowing never to try late en-US fishing in that area again. en-US Several wrote to say that en-US would be something they en-US would also choose to skip. en-US One of my columns on All en-US Hallows Eve dealt with our en-US areas connection to the big en-US hotel in the Jack Nicholson en-US movie The Shining. That en-US may seem a stretch, but allow en-US me to explain. en-US Back in 1906 the famous en-US twins F. E. and F. O. Stanley en-US brought their sleek racer to en-US Ormonds beach to attempt en-US the world land speed record. en-US The Stanleys were brilliant in en-US many fields, but the results of en-US that attempt would be their en-US finest hour. The Rocket record en-US of 127 miles per would not en-US only be the first worlds mark en-US set by an American car on our en-US beach, but it would also be the en-US longest held lasting four years. en-US Soon after that, Freeland en-US Stanley was told by his doctor en-US to seek a higher elevation for en-US health reasons. He and his en-US wife left Massachusetts and en-US settled in Estes Park, Colo., en-US where he built a huge hotel en-US high up in the Rockies. Many en-US years later Stephen King en-US would visit The Stanley Hotel en-US and was inspired to write The en-US Shining, and the hotel would en-US be used in the movie. These en-US days the hotel is still running en-US and visitors say Mr. Stanley en-US and his wife can often be seen en-US wandering the halls late at en-US night.en-US Up around the Ormond en-US Loop there is a long-running en-US tale about theen-US Ormond lights. en-US Apparently this floating light en-US appears men-US ostly to teenagers en-US who chose to park on the trails en-US that run into the swamp north en-US of town. All of the sightings en-US seem to be pretty much the en-US same with a ball of bright light en-US approaching the amorous en-US couple. At first they believe it en-US to be a motorcycle but it en-US moves toward them in total en-US silence. When it does arrive it en-US always goes over their own en-US vehicle while illuminating en-US them. This saen-US me phenomenon en-US has been happening for years en-US and many of the areas most en-US prominent citizens have seen en-US it.en-US Down at Oak Hill at the en-US place where you turn off U. S. en-US 1 to head for the back door of en-US the space center there is a en-US large wide spot where a en-US Hornes restaurant (a Stuckeys en-US kind of place) once stood. en-US Those who drive that road in en-US the dark have seen a young en-US lady standing in that space en-US wearing a Hornes waitress en-US uniform. Some have stopped en-US to ask if she needs help but en-US can never fen-US ind her once they en-US have pulled over. There are en-US even a few old-timers who say en-US they recognize her. By the way en-US that restaurant has been gone en-US for close to 40 years. en-US Up at Bunnell there is a tale en-US of a en-US headless man that carries en-US a lantern down the railroad en-US tracks. He can only be seen on en-US a certain moon and only at en-US midnight but the word is he is en-US fairly punctual. Also, roaming cats are a nuisance due to their en-US bathroom habits, midnight fights, and their contribution to the en-US feral cat population if they are not fixed. en-US The writer asks how long it has been since we have seen raben-US-en-US bits? Well, a long time. Because roaming cats prey on rabbits as en-US well as 3.7 billion birds each year in our country. If anyone is en-US concerned about coyotes or any other wildlife that seems to be en-US intruding on our space (when it has been the other way en-US around), I would suggest that you deal with local government, en-US which is approving the clear-cutting of the habitat of countless en-US wildlife species in this area, forcing animals into our streets and en-US yards. en-US Relocation of wildlife does not work. So, if youre concerned en-US about a coyote or any other animal hurting or killing your cat, en-US and if you are concerned about rabbits and birds, please keep en-US your cats indoors. Thank you.en-USIn response to: Coyote Relocationen-US The reason there is a coyote problem in the first place is en-US because of all the unfettered growth/building in the county. en-US The coyotes are being driven from their natural habitat to en-US places where they normally would not go. Its not their fault, they en-US have already been relocated, just not in the way you want.en-US Outdoor cats are a blight on the environment. They kill en-US birds, squirrels, lizards, etc. Cats belong inside. Allowing them en-US to roam freely outside subjects them to disease, mauled by other en-US cats or other wild animals, being hit by cars, etc. I for one am en-US sick of other peoples outdoor cats using my yard for their litter en-US box, laying in wait to hunt the birds and squirrels that I feed and en-US water. It might also interest you to know that municipal leash en-US laws apply to cats as well as dogs. I am sure if there were colonies en-US of outside dogs you would be singing a differ tune.en-US If you dont want your cat eaten by a coyote, keep it inside en-US where it belongs. With any kind of luck, the coyotes will eradien-US -en-US cate the feral cat problem.en-USQuicker inspections neededen-USLike many of my neighbors, Ive just had my roof replaced en-US after hurricane damage. en-US The long-time local roofer arranged well ahead of time for the en-US stripped roof to be inspected at 8 a.m. on Monday. The entire en-US crew sat around until 11:58 a.m. waiting for the inspector. The en-US city employee pulled up, stated he was too lazy to put up his own en-US ladder, then climbed the roofers ladder just far enough for his en-US eyes to crest the eaves. He climbed right back down, scribbled en-US his initials on the posted permit and left in his truck at 12:03 en-US p.m.en-US No wonder it costs so much more to replace a roof in Ormond en-US Beach than it does in other parts of Volusia County. According en-US to my roofer, it is quite common to have an entire crew waiting en-US on the inspector for half a day.en-US If the five person staff in Ormond Beach were not so busy peren-US -en-US petrating entrapment schemes on law abiding citizens, maybe en-US theyd have time to get inspections done in a reasonable time en-US frame.en-USThe beat goes on . en-USLike Dan Smith, Im among the first rock n roll generation.en-US But unlike him, Im diverse in my musical tastes. Why would anyone want to trade the Edgewater en-US Police Department, which is mostly Edgewater residents that en-US you see patrolling (and have a visible presence in our community en-US every day) for someone who may live in Astor, Deltona or Holly en-US Hill?en-US These fine officers would probably also be responsible for the en-US citizens of Oak Hill while your emergency is in progress. If a clean bill were presented to the citizens en-US of Edgewater for a new police facility, even if it included a reaen-US -en-US sonable tax increase, I would support it, even if there were some en-US extra bells and whistles.en-US The Edgewater Polen-USice Department does an excellent job for its en-US citizens, even if you think it would be cheaper, my belief is to en-US support our local police. en-USPink Tutu 3Ken-USPhoto courtesy of Halifax Health en-USMore than 200 participants laced up for the inaugural Pink Tutu 3K at Tanger Outlets in Daytona en-US Beach on Sunday, Oct. 14. Some of them are my en-US clients! When it comes to the en-US car-buying transaction, en-US though, keep in mind the en-US dealerships have an enormous en-US advantage. They know (and en-US you dont) the lowest price en-US theyll take for the car you en-US want and the highest price en-US theyll pay for your trade-in en-US vehicle.en-US No. 24 -The car dealership en-US is not going to lose money en-US when selling you a car (even if en-US they say otherwise or plead en-US poverty). You may be told the en-US dealership is only making en-US $1,200, for example, on a en-US trim-line that has very few en-US options, or the lower, internet en-US price represents no profit to en-US the dealer. They arent the only en-US way the dealership makes en-US money on the sale. Another en-US way is through holdbacks en-US from the manufacturer. A en-US percentage of the vehicles en-US invoice or MSRP (the exact en-US calculation can vary amongst en-US manufacturers) is usually paid en-US to the dealership when a new en-US car is sold. The wind that had en-US been kicked up by Hurricane en-US Michael was still swirling and I en-US knew I was pushing it.en-USActually men-US y main goal was en-US to see if the storm had moved en-US any of the polluted water that en-US had been trapped there for the en-US past nine months out to sea. en-US As daylight came I could tell en-US that, indeed, the water quality en-US had improved some. The tide en-US was high and juen-US st beginning to en-US run out, and at the old engine en-US block I began to cast.en-US On about my fourth throw, en-US a fat, 18-inch spotted sea trout en-US took my chartreuse jig. Not a en-US bad start, but the wind and en-US current were making things en-US tough. After another half hour en-US I did manage another 16-inch en-US trout, but water was coming en-US into the boat. en-US I paddled across the wide en-US bay to enter Garys Inlet. The en-US canal on the eastern edge of en-US Tomoka State Park had never en-US been a great fishing spot but en-US on occasion would yield a red en-US or black drum. Right then a en-US wind break was more importen-US -en-US ant. en-US After paddling against the en-US current for about a quarter en-US mile I had a hit from someen-US -en-US thing very strong. Wen I en-US pulled back hard a 25-inch en-US snook broke water and the en-US fight was on. It was a good en-US battle until the line sider took en-US me into the brush and broke en-US my 10-pound mono on the en-US barnacles. Good fun and a en-US welcome surprise. en-US Another 100 feet north and en-US I was on with a larger snook. en-US This time I was determined to en-US land it and immediately en-US moved the boat into the center en-US of the creek. Okay now I had en-US room to work. The big fish en-US and I went at it for at least 10 en-US minutes and then it was gone. en-US When I reeled my line up so en-US was my jig, but my palomar en-US knot was still intact. en-US Evidently the eye of the jig en-US had not been properly en-US crimped down at the factory en-US and I had lost a great fish en-US through no fault of my own. I en-US had that happen only once en-US before. Quite a few years back en-US Capt. Leo Hiles and I were en-US fishing for gator trout on the en-US flats of Mosquito Lagoon en-US when I lost a good one in that en-US same manor. en-US After that I began to inspect en-US my jigs very carefully but after en-US years of not finding any en-US problems I had become en-US complacent. Now it had en-US happened once more, dang it! en-US Luckily as soon as I got my en-US bait back into the water I had en-US another big snook. I tell you en-US they were eating my jigs the en-US way that Asian guy goes at the en-US Coney Island hotdogs. This en-US time I successfully landed a en-US nice 29-inch fish. en-US Drifting south, I soon had a en-US 20-inch sea trout and then en-US another 18 incher. My oh en-US my--what fun! On a day that I en-US figured was to be a fat zero I en-US had hooked three big snook en-US and landed five trout. en-US You may have guessed I had en-US to return the very next en-US morning. NowI know that en-US fishing is all about the timing en-US but I just couldnt resist. I en-US headed back to the snook hole en-US filled with anticipation. en-US Nothing there. Well, at least en-US nothing feeding. The wind en-US had calmed so I was able to en-US put in some time and did get en-US three trout and one mangrove en-US snapper. Nothing spectacular en-US but all good pan fish. en-US Ladies and gents right now en-US is prime snen-US ook time. Fish en-US them in the creeks where you en-US find swift water and in the en-US Tomoka River. With a bit of en-US luck you will enjoy the same en-US fun I had.en-US Dan Smith has fished the en-US waters of Volusia County for en-US more than 40 years. Is Dooms Day en-US near? Well take a deep breath, en-US and listen very carefully to en-US what I m about to say. NO, en-US NO, NO and NO. en-US I would like to share a trip I en-US made recently to prove my en-US point. My wife and I were on a en-US trout fishing trip in Clarksen-US -en-US ville, Ga., staying with some en-US friends. While I was there, I en-US cooked for the family and en-US some friends one night. en-US During the evening, one of the en-US guests came to me and asked if en-US I would consider taking a tour en-US of his food plant, which was en-US nearby and possibly give him en-US some culinary ideas. I told en-US him I would be happy to. I en-US later found out they had done en-US a security and background en-US check on me before I was en-US asked to tour the plant. en-US The facility is closed to the en-US public due to strict security. en-US My friend had set this all up to en-US surprise me beforehand, en-US knowing I would like to tour en-US the plant. The company was en-US the Fieldale Farms Corp., the en-US largest producer of cut en-US chicken in the world. The en-US packs of cut up chicken that en-US you see in Publix and en-US Winn-Dixie are just a few of en-US their products. en-US The tour began with a brief en-US introduction by the CEO. I en-US was then given a personal en-US security detail to take me en-US through the plant. We entered en-US the clean room and given a en-US smock, rubber bootees up to en-US the knee and a hospital hair en-US covering. She used a remote en-US control device to open a door en-US to the wash room as we en-US walked in a disinfectant form en-US sprayed across the floor. We en-US walked through this suds to en-US the sinks, which were foot en-US activated. She watched as I en-US washed my hands for one en-US minute with antiseptic soap en-US and then I rinsed my hands en-US with an antiseptic solution. I en-US was given sleeve covers, which en-US went from my wrist to elbow en-US and then gloves to overlap the en-US wrist. en-US She activated the exit door, en-US and we entered a long corridor en-US first walking through another en-US antiseptic foam spray. This en-US process would be repeated en-US several times as we entered en-US each department. Nowhere en-US could you smell poultry. It is en-US the cleanest facility I have ever en-US seen. en-US They process chicken from en-US eggs to fried chicken tenders. en-US All chicks are sprayed with an en-US antibacterial growth agent. en-US The feeding sheds are large to en-US prevent overcrowding and en-US stress on the chickens, en-US resulting in a bigger and en-US tender product. The Human en-US Society of America has en-US awarded them a Best Practice en-US Award the last three years. All en-US employees are required to go en-US through the same procedures I en-US had followed. All poultry is en-US X-rayed and run through a en-US metal detector before packagen-US -en-US ing. en-US The cutting tool is a high en-US speed water jet, which slices en-US like a knife and can be en-US programmed for any size or en-US shape. Human hands never en-US touch the product and it en-US moved from one area to en-US another by pneumatic plastic en-US tubes and conveyor belts to en-US box. At every stage the en-US product is tested for temperaen-US -en-US ture and bacteria count. en-US This company is an example en-US of what is happening in en-US Americas beef, poultry, and en-US pork companies. Across the en-US country, food manufactures en-US are initiating these proceen-US -en-US dures. Is our food safe?en-US For those naysayers who en-US state food was safer when I en-US was young or back in the good en-US old days, well the good old en-US days werent so good. In the en-US early 1900s, people lived to the en-US average ripe old age of 50. Hot en-US dogs we full of mystery meat. en-USToday we have truth in en-US labeling and sanitation en-US policies that are the envy of en-US the world. Is it perfect?
