	General Note:	The ancient Egypt map was drawn as a historical map and provides a number of sites of interest from the Exodus.
	General Note:	The entire Nile valley with its' extensive delta region is portrayed.
	General Note:	Oriented with the west at the top and the Nile River bisecting the map from right to left, one is given the impression that they are viewing the area from the Holy Land.
	General Note:	The map was one of ten new maps added to the Parergon in the 1595 edition of the Theatrum terrarum orbis.
	General Note:	At the top slightly right of center is note which provides the name Ortelius and the date, which implies this is one of the maps drawn by Ortelius himself.
	General Note:	Inset: Alexandrinorum nomus.
	General Note:	The Latin text on right verso is "AEgypvs" while the left verso is for another map.
	General Note:	The 1595 version is a reduced copy of the two sheet historical map added in 1584 to the Parergon.
