SIR,
The correspondence which took place between
Mr. President Paul and yourself on the subject of the Charaibs
who in consequence of the late earthquake in St. Vincent,
were sent from that Island to Trinidad, having been
communicated by Mr. Faul to this department, I am to
signify to you the Prince Regent's approbation of the arrange-
ments which have been made for the benefit of those
unfortunate persons and to authorise you to make them such
grants of land and afford them such encouragement and
assistance in the cultivation of them as with the advice of
the Council you may think reasonable and expedient.
