SUMMARY.
Don Luis de Monsalves relates that by the Cedula of
IIth December 1623 lie was instructed to hold the residencia
on the administration of Don Fernando de Berrio who had
been suspended for four years till the death of Don Diego
Palameque de Acuna.

As Don Fernando had given no guarantees and had
provided no Fiadores, it was difficult if not impossible to
carry out this residencia.
