The Cabildo of Trinidad reports that the town is very
poor and in want of many necessary supplies.
The Church is only a thatched building and there are
no funds to crect a proper structure. The Cabildo finds it
necessary to beg for a supply of oil in order to light this
building for services.
'I he Cabildo states that there are only 24 vecinos in the
whole Island and that they have no arms nor munitions.
They arc completely defenceless against their many enemies.
