Francisco Ruiz de Aguirre, Governor of Trinidad referred
to the murder of the Governor, the Sargento Mayor, the
Contador de las Cajas Reales, the Escrivano del Cabildo
and four priests.
He also reported that he had received the dispatches
from His Majesty of the i5th December, 17oo, and on receiving
them he had collected supplies and left at once to go to the
Island of Trinidad.
He added that for four years there had been no soldiers in
the Province of Guayana.
