LONDON,

SUMMARY,
About seven weeks ago there arrived at London,ra ship
with Juan Munoz having on board sixteen thousand pounds
(libras) of Tobacco from the River Orinoco. This had been
supplied by the Governor and the inhabitants at six reals
the libra.
This ship left in the River Orinoco, two Dutch and one
English ship ; two other English ships were met entering
the River Orinoco.
At the Island of Trinidad there were four or five ships
trading there and another four were met on the way there.

SUMMARY,
Don Alonzo de Velasco, Ambassador in England, reports
on the trade that the English carry on with Trinidad.
Quite lately three ships have arrived in England with
Tobacco from Trinidad and the least was valued at five
hundred thousand ducats.
At the time there were preparing in London four ships
for the trade at Trinidad. The Governor of that Island
should be punished.
