Summary.
The Cura of the Vicario of the Island of Trinidad is
Father Thomas Martinez de Levba and he wrote to welcome
Father Damiano Lopez de Haro as Bishop of Porto Rico on
his arrival in the West Indies.


The Cura of Trinidad to the Bishop of Porto Rico.
July i6th, 1645. St. Joseph, Trinidad.


Summary.
The Cura described San Josef as having 30 inhabitants.
He has three priests with him and they have reduced
250 Indians to the true faith.

He reports that the English had been settled in the Island
of Trinidad for the past two years.
