Sor children's rides,
Hooray !
There is no greater pleasure,
T c On a summer holiday.

A h E have within our Dovecote,
V V Some Pigeons \'erv tame;
They come and stand, and from our hand,
Pick up their food, the grain.

EVEN the little Lambs get tired
Of playing all the day.
These two have found their mother Sheep,
Safe by her side to stay.

THE CAT.

i;:

H OOW proud the Nanny Goat must
feel,
To pull a car so grand;
And what a queen our baby looks,
.- As she rides o'er the Sand.

T HROW a Ball to Pussy,
Then just watch" her play;
How she pounces, jumps, and meows:
"Don't take my Ball away."

T H E plumage of a Turkey
Is very fine indeed;
N. But for his great conceit and pride,
There really is no need.

O UR Brown H-en has ven little
Chicks;
Sweet fluffy chicks, you see;
And when at morn I take them corn, ,
Cluck! Cluck! are their thanks to : .
me.
