Laid Off for 60 Daya.
('hiecngo, Jan. 9--Without noticing
that tho light in the semaphore in
the suburban station of a railroad en-
tering (Chleago was not hurnhng;, eight
trin crews have passed tite, danger
signal while a high official secretly
marked down the numbers of. the
train. The crews are now on an
enforced vacation of 60 days.
The remalable, test was suggested
by' the wreck that occurred on the

throw the utmost safety precautlona
about its patrons.
According to the rules of the' com-
pany, a light that Is now burning has
the same significance that, a light or
a danger signal would have.
