Abstract: Robert Bates, a food scientist at the University of Florida, has been experimenting for ten years with grapes. He is confident that Florida grapes can eventually produce good wine as well as juice and animal feed. The grapes must have a high yield, be disease resistant, have good color, and be able to be machine harvested. Various scenes in the lab are shown.
