 Notes
Abstract: A report about the research on turtles being conducted by a doctoral exchange student from Holland, Edwin Van Hause. He induced turtles to swallow an eraser sized radio thermometer so that their temperature could be recorded. It was discovered that turtles do not need much food and that they tend to digest food when lying in the sun and their body temperature rises. Turtles could be used as an economical source of food because of the efficient way in which they digest food.
