Abstract: Dr. Charles Wallace, a civil engineer at the University of Florida, is working with a computer to synchronize traffic light signals. The name of the study is TRANSIT – 7F. If successful then stops can be minimized which will result in conserving gas. The study is funded by a grant from the Federal Highway Administration. Harry Burns, traffic engineer, talks briefly.
