 Notes
Abstract: In response to the problem of salt water intrusion especially along Florida’s coastlines, Dr. Bent Christensen, a University of Florida professor of civil engineering, has developed a model in his lab which mimics the conditions of salt water intrusion. The model can speed up the process by doing in a few hours what might take a year along the coast. Dr. Christensen suggests that the state needs a long range plan to effect a balance.
