Abstract: This particular segment has several breaks between the segments. Dr. Eugene Chenette, assistant dean of the Department of Electrical Engineering, conducted some research on an energy button which is supposed to save money and energy when used with light bulbs. Dr. Chenette measured the power consumption of a standard 100 watt bulb with and without the energy button. He found that contrary to the claims the energy button cost $3 per 1000 killowatt hours and wasted both money and energy.
