Abstract: An earthquake lab is opened on the University of Florida campus. A seismometer and a seismograph are both used to record any earth tremors. University of Florida Geology professor Dr. Douglas Smith is the director of the project. Data collected will be sent to the data network of the United States Interior Department’s Earthquake Information Center in Colorado.
