Summary: Because there is more natural gas available than previously thought, the burner developed by Dr. Alex Green’s son, Bruce, can be used to burn coal and use gas as a helper. In this way the coal will burn cleaner. Dr. Alex Green, University of Florida research professor, and Ray Jones, librarian, both speak briefly. Jones’s computer studies show that other countries are more advanced in their gas/coal technology than is the United States. At the conclusion of the segment both men are shown holding a piece of paper with ICAAS at the top, which stands for the Interdisciplinary Center for Agronomy & Atmospheric Sciences.
