	Abstract:	For this project, both art and engineering students attend class together for a full term and work on the components of ceramic glazes. University of Florida Materials Sciences Engineering professor Dr. Larry L. Hench conceived of the idea for the class. Each year a glaze competition is sponsored by Karamus, the honorary engineering society. Walter McCracken, a graduate student, is in charge of this year’s competition.
