Summary: A report about the adopted grandparent program, founded by second grade teacher Toy Whitley, at P.K. Yonge Laboratory School at the University of Florida. Each day children in her class visit a nearby nursing home and interact with the elderly patients. The program has had a lot of success and after Mrs. Whitley’s retirement the program will continue in hundreds of schools around the country.
