This major upgrade to
the Highway Capacity
Software (HCSm) is
planned for release as
HCS 2010 concurrently
with the publication of
the 2010 of the High-
way Capacity Manual
(HCM), scheduled for
January, 2011.

details on the signifi-
cant changes to several
modules and can be

The first release of HCS 2010 will include updated mod-
ules to implement the new procedures for Signalized In-
tersections, Roundabouts, Basic Freeway Segments,
Freeway Weaving Segments, Freeway Merge & Diverge
Segments, Two-Lane Highways and Multilane High-
ways.

The new Streets pro-
gram will combine the
Signalized Intersec-
tions, Urban Streets
Segments, Urban
Streets Facilities and
Interchange Ramp Ter-
minals procedures and
is planned for delivery
as updates this coming
spring and/or summer.
Streets will also inter-
act seamlessly with
CORSIM and TRAN-
SYT-7F for one-touch
animation and optimi-
zation.


Updated modules for Two-Way Stop Control (to add six-
lane major streets), All-Way Stop Control (to add three-
lane approaches) and Freeway Facilities (to implement
oversaturated conditions) will be included in the updates,
along with a new module for Off-Street Pedestrian &
Bicycle Facilities.

This major upgrade will be delivered automatically
to HCS+ users with current support subscriptions.

TSIS-CORSIM 6.2 Update
TSIS-CORSIM 6.2 supported users may now download this update from the McTrans web site at:

http://mctrans.ce.ufl.edu/featured/tsis/CORSIMBuild512.htm

Build 512 of CORSIM contains over 20 new features and corrections, affecting both NETSIM and
FRESIM, relative to the original CORSIM 6.2 (build 510). This update also contains upgraded ver-
sions of TSIS Next, TRAFVU and certain users guides.
