1954, No. 71.

KINGSTOWN BOARD (MOBILE REFRESHMENT VANS)
(AMENDMENT) BY-LAWS.

(Gazetted 21st December, 1954.)

1. Short title. These By-Laws may be cited as the Kingstown Board
(Mobile Refreshment Vans) (Amendment) By-Laws, 1954, and shall be read and
construed as one with the Kingstown Board (Mobile Refreshment Vans) Bye-Laws,
1946, (S. R. & 0. 1946 No. 2) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Bye-Laws) and
all amendments thereto.

2. Amendment to Section 2 and Section 6 of principal Bye-
Laws. Section 2 is hereby amended by deleting the words : This Section shall
not apply to the existing vans in the Market."
Section 6 is hereby amended by substituting 154 for 2/6 appearing in the
second line thereof.

3. Commencement. These By-Laws shall come into operation on the 1st
day of January, 155b.

Made by the Kingstown Board under Section 74 (28) of the Kingstown Board
Ordinance Chapter 209 as amended by Ordinance No. 15 of 1945, this 14th day of
July, 1953.

A PROCLAMATION.

Acting Administrator.
WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 9 of the Currency Ordinance, 1950, that the
Governor after consultation with the Board of Commissioners of Currency, British
Caribbean Territories (Eastern Group) may, by Proclamation issued with the
approval of the Secretary of State, declare that any currency notes shall cease to -
be legal tender :
AND WHEREAS it is desirable that Government Currency Notes issued by the
Commissioners of Currency of the Colonies of Barbados, British Guiana and
Trinidad and Tobago, now in circulation should be called in and should cease to be
current or legal tender within the Colony of Saint Vincent :
Now, THEREFORE, after consultation with the Board of Commissioners of
Currency, British Caribbean Territories (Eastern Group), and with the approval
of the Secretary of State. I do hereby declare that Government Currency Notes
issued by the Commissioners of Currency of the Colonies of Barbados, British
Guiana and Trinidad and Tobago, shall as from the 2nd day of January, 1955,
cease to be current or legal tender within the Colony of Saint Vincent :
Provided that any such notes may be presented before the said 2nd day of
January, 1955, at Barclays Dank (Dominion, Colonial and Overseas) for the
purpose of exchange for British Caribbean Currency Notes of the same value :
Provided further that the holders of any such notes shall be entitled at any
time after they have ceased to be legal tender to claim payment of the value
thereof from the Executive Commissioner of the British Caribbean Currency Board.
GIVEN under my hand and the public Seal of the Colony of Saint Vincent at
Government Office in the said Colony this 18th day of December, One
thousand nine hundred and fifty-four, and in the third year of the Reign
of Her Majesty QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND.
