10.30 A.M. Administrator inspects Guard of Honour at the Court House
Yard, prior to opening of a Public Meeting at the Legislative
Council Chamber for Messages of Loyalty from the Executive
and Legislative Councils and other Public Bodies.
8.30 P.M. Community Singing at the War Memorial.

Tuesday 2nd June, 1953.
6.00 A.M. Ringing of all Church Bells for 10 Minutes.
9.00 A.M. Community Procession followed by Church Services.
11.00 A.M. Treats for inmates of the Thompson's Home and other Gov-
ernment Institutions and for the "Soup Kitchen".

DECONTROL OF PRICES OF
IMPORTED ARTICLES.

With reference to the Prices Control
(Amendment No. 4) Notice published
on the 10th March, 1953, the public is
hereby informed that as from the 16th of
March, 1953, and until further notice,
the prices of all goods (with the excep-
tion of flour, kerosene, sugar and rice)
imported into the Colony will be decon-
trolled.

PRICES CONTROL (AMENDMENT NO. 5). NOTICE.

(Gazetted 12th March 1953).

1. Short title. This Notice may be cited as the Prices. Control
(Amendment No. 5) Notice.
2. A aneldnent. The First Schedule Part B to the Prices Control Order
1947 (S-.. & 0. No. 25) is hereby further amended by deleting all the words, figures
and symbols occurring in the columns with the exception only of :-Flour, Kerosene,
Rice, and Sugar, and- the prices set out hereunder are the maximum prices for
which the articles enumerated may be sold in the Colony.

Area "A" means the town of Kingstown and within one mile thereof.
Area B" means all other places throughout the Colony other than those
mentioned in Areas "A" and C".
Area C means all the villages of Overland, Sandy Bay, Owla, Fancy, Windsor
Forest and the St. Vincent Grenadines.

3. Amendment. The Second Schedule to the prices Control Order 1947
(S.R. & O. No. 25) is hereby further amended by deleting all the words, figures and
symbols occurring under the columns marked List A-Dry Goods, List B-Hardware
(i), List B-Hardware (ii), List C-Grocery, List D-General (i), List D-General
(ii), List E-Drugs. The prices of all items in these Lists are now hereby
decontrolled.

4. Commencement. This Order shall come into effect from the 16th of
March 1953.

Made by the Competent Authority under section 30 of the Prices Control
Order 1947 (S.R. & O. No. 25) this 5th day of March, 1953.
