CHILDREN'S HOME, FAIRHALL.

Applications lre invited for the posts
of Matron and Assistant Matron of the
Fairhall Children's Home, St. Vincent.
The salary for the post of IMatron will be
in the scale $720 x 60-$1200 per annum,
and the salary for that of Assistant
Matron will be in the scale $480 x 48-
$720 per annum. In both cases accom-
modation and meals will be provided.
The points at which successful applicants
will be placed in the scales will depend
on previous experience.
The Fairhall Children's Home will
cater for boys below the age of 14 who
are found to be in need of care and pro-
tection or who have become delinquents.
Applications from persons with ex-
perience in social work, especially in
connection with the care of children,
will be given special consideration, as
will applications from married women.
Applications should reach the Educa-
tion Officer at the Department of Educa-
tion, Kingstown, St. Vincent, not later
than the 16th September, 1952.

FOR SALE.

Offers are invited for the purchase of.
the following Motion Picture production
Apparatus:-
One 35 mm Simplex Acme sound pro-
jector complete with speaker and ampli-
fier. For operation on 110-125 volt,
60 cycle-alternating current; together
with one generator (110 volts) and gaso-
lene motor (4 cylinder Ford 1941 engine)
for use where there is no power
supply.
This generator has an output capacity
of nine kilowatts, and is capable in it-
self, apart from supplying the projector,
of carrying a fairly large extra load,
such as cinema or theatre lighting ; in
fact it would supply all the amenities
for a small cinema or theatre.
The entire machine is of such size and
so mounted that it is mobile, i.e. it can
be transported by truck.
The equipment, which is stored at
Belair Health Centre, has been very
little used, and was recently overhauled
and is believed to be in perfect working
order. It may be viewed by arrange-
ment.
No offer of less than 600 for the
-complete outfit can be considered.
Persons interested are requested to
communicate with the Senior Medical
Officer, Kingstown, for further informa-
tion.

Interruption to the Supply whilst the
C.D.C. are erecting wires in connection
with the Hydro-Electric Project will be
inevitable.


Consumers are hereby notified that it
will not be possible to give warning of
such interruptions.
These interruptions, however, will in
general be of short duration and every
effort will be made to minimise the in-
convenience caused.

RETURN OF STOCKS.

With reference to the Prices Control
Order S.R. & 0. 1947, No. 25, all traders
are hereby notified that until further
notice the return of stocks usually sub-
mitted monthly to the Controller of
Supplies by 12 o'clock noon on the 2nd
day of each month must now be sub-
mitted twice monthly, namely, by 12
o'clock noon on the 2nd day and on the
17th day of each month, the return to
contain stocks of the articles in Part B
of the First Schedule held by them on
the 1st and 15th day of each month
respectively.
2. This measure is being taken as an
emergency during the Hurricane Season.

BEQUIA.

Applications are invited for the pur-

Police Station, Bequia.
2. The building is situated in the
Town of Port Elizabeth, Bequia. It is a
wooden structure of two floors with a
concrete water tank, kitchen (broken
down) and Privy.
3. The first floor is 969 sq. ft. in area
and is comprised of four rooms. The
ground floor is 341 square feet in area
and is divided into three rooms.

PRICES CONTROL (AMENDMENT NO. 27) NOTICE.


(Gazetted 19th August, 1952).



1. Short title. This Notice may be cited as the Prices Control
(Amendment 'No. 27) Notice.
2. Amendment. The prices set out hereunder are the Maximum prices
for which the articles enumerated may be sold in the Colony and the First Schedule
Part A to the Prices Control Order 1947 (S.R. & 0. No. 25) is heliby amended by
deleting all the words, figures and symbols occurring in the columns opposite the

therefore the following :
