UNIvERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE LOCAL EXAMINATION
SYNDICATE
G.C.E. 1977

The General Certificate of Education Exami-
nation of Cambridge University will be held in
St. Vincent from May 31st to July 1st, 1977.
The fees to be paid into the Treasury are as
follows:.

Private Candidates who passed the qualifying
test held-inh December 1976 will be accepted to
write the '0' level subjects.
For 'A' level, Private Candidates will be
accepted on the recommendation of the Extra
Mural Departmcnt Tutor provided that such
candidates have previously passed on one and
the same occasion in at least (3) three subjects
at '0' level.


The Mercantile Community is reminded that
under the Price and Distribution of Goods Act
No. 33/75, a Trader's Licence Fee of $12.00
is payable annually by all Traders except
Hucksters and Traders whose stocks are valued
at $200.00 or less.
SLicence for the year 1977 becomes due and
is payable by 31st.January 1977.
A grace period for payment of Licence will be
given until' 15th FEBRUARY 1977.
Any person found trading (buying and/or
sealing goods) without a Licence after 15th
FEBRUARY 1977 shall be dealt with in accord-
ance with section 3 subsection 5 of the afore-
mentioned Act No. 33/1975, whereby a fine of:
$750.00 is chargeable in the first instance.
Licence Fees are payable at the Ministry of
Trade and Agriculture, Murray Road, Kings-
town.

NOTICE TO MARINERS


Buoys both lit and unlit are being established
within the national waters of the St. Vincent
Grenadines in the following areas.
1. Admirality Bay, Bequia, two Buoys.
2; Friendship Bay, Bcquia, one Buoy.
3. Montezuma Shoal, Mustique, one Buoy.
4. Chcrlestown Bay, Canouau, one Buoy.
5. Baleine Rocks, Mayreau, one Buoy.
6. Dry Shingle, Mayreau, one Buoy.
.7. Saline Bay, Mayreau, one Buoy.
a. Clifton Harbour entrance, Union Islaud,
four Buoys.
9. West Side Grand De Coy, Union Island,
one Buoy.
The above Buoys are being established for
trials and should not be used for navigational
purposes until officially notified in the Gazette.


A new Navigational' Aids Scheme is being
established in the St. Vincent Grenadines. The
lighted buoy at the entrance of Clifton
Harbou Union Island has been replaced by
'n unlighted Buoy on the starboard hand.
When entering the harbour Mariners are
advised to exercise extreme caution.

THE OWNERS OF PUBLIC SERVICE
VEHICLES GOODS VEHICLES AND
TRAILERS. (H. R. H.T. & T. PLATES)

The attention of persons who own the type
of vehicles mentioned above is drawn to the
provisions contained in Regulations 20 and 21
and all amendments thereto of the Motor
Vehicle and Road Traffic Regulations 1959,
whereby no licence may be issued or renewed
for such vehicles unless the Inspector certifies
that such vehicles comply with all the pro-
visions of the Ordinance and the Regulations
referred to.

The Inspector of Motor Vehicles will be
available at Amos Va'e (P.W.D. Yard) daily
from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon anid 1.30 p.m. to
4.00 p.m., except on Saturdays, Sundays and
Bank Holidays to ensure that all above-
mentioned vehicles are inspected' and road
worthy before December 31, .1976.

" Regulation 20 (6) requires that these
vehicles be examined twice annually, that is

before 30th June, and 31st December each year.
WARNING
Vehicles which have not been inspected or
if inspected have not passed the examination
by 31st December, 1976, will be taken off the
road.
