period of two years with effect from 1st July,
1975 pursuant to Section 4 of the Land Sur-
veyors Act No. 2 of 1973.

VACANT POST OF DENTAL SURGEON ST. VINCENT,
WEST INDIES

Applications are invited from suitably quali-
fied persons for the post of Dental Surgeon,
Medical Department, Ministry of Health Hous-
ing, Community Development & Local Govern-
ment.
Qualifications:
The successful applicant must possess a Den-
tal qualification registrable in St. Vincent and
should have had at least three years post grad-
uate experience in practical Dentistry and some
experience in Social Dentistry.
Appointment:
The appointment may be either on a 'er-
manent pensionable basis or on contract for a

period of three years in the first instance. If on
contract a gratuity of 254/( of salary is payable.
Salary :
Salary will be in the scale of $6,000 X $300
- $6,600 X $360 $8,490 plus $900 interim
payment. The successful candidate will be
appointed at a point in the scale commensurate
with his qualification and experience.
A transport allowance will be paya.b'e in
accordance with local regulations.
Duties:
The successful applicant will be responsible
to the Senior Medical Officer through the Medi-
cal Office of Health. Kingstown General Hos-
pital, and will be required to
(a) organise and manage the Dental Sectinm
of the Medical and Health Department;
(b) assist in the organisation and execution of
a Dental Health Programme on a State-
wide basis;
(c) undertake such other duties as may be
assigned him by Government through its
authorized officers.
Private practice is permitted, provided that it
does not interfere with the proper performance
of his official duties.
Application stating experience, and accom-
panied by proof of qualifications, a recent photo-
graph and two (2) recent testimonials should be
addressed to the Chief Personnel Officer, Service
Cbmmissiofis DIPartmienit, Ki4gstown, St. Vin-
cent, West Indies and should reach him not
later than 21st June, 1976.

It is notified for General Information and that
,of Merchants in particular that in keeping with
the policy of the Ministry of Trade and Agricul-
ture Import Licences should be obtained before
placing orders for Commodities under licence.
The Ministry would therefore not be prepared
to issue licences for goods which have been
ordered or have arrived in the State prior to
application for such licence.

INTRODUCTION OF NOTICE (TICKET
SYSTEM) FOR COMPOUNDED
OFFENCES


The General Public is hereby notified that the
provisions of the Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic
Regulations contained in S.R. && 0. 1975 No. 30
which authorise the payment of the Compounded
Fine of Five dollars ($5.00) for Offences listed
in the scheduled to the Ticket System will be
brought into effect on 14th June, 1976.

Offenders against the Regulations specified in
S.R. & 0. 30 of 1975 who fail to pay the Com-
pounded Fine of Five dollars ($5.00) within the
stipulated time will be liable to prosecution
before the Court and if found guilty will be
required to pay a minimum fine of Twenty five
dollars ($25.00).

AND HOUSE TAX ORDINANCE



As a result of Act No. 6 of 1976, which
amended the Land and House Tax Ordinance,
it is hereby notified for general information that
payments of Land and House Tax for the cur-
rent year will be received at the Land and House
Tax Office, Kinigstown, and the Revenue Offices
at Georgetown, Barrouallie, Bequia and Union
Island from 1st Auguist to 30th September, 1976,
and at Sandy Bay, Colonarie, Biabou, Meso-
potamia, Layou and Chateaubelair on the fol-
lowing dates:-
Sandy Bay: 13th August and 17th
September
Colonarie: Every Thursday during
the month of August and
September
Biabou: 10th August and 13th
September
Mesopotamia: 13th, 20th August and
10th, 24th September
Layou: 9th, 23rd August and
13th, 20th September
Chateaubelair: 6th, 20th August, and
10th, 17th September.
