INCOME TAX (DOUBLE TAXATION RELIEF) (SWEDEN)
ORDER.


WHEREAS it is provided by subsection (1) of Section 91 of the Income Tax Ordinance
1967, that if the Governor in Council by order declares that arrangements specified in the
Order have been made with the Government of any territory outside of the State with a view
to affording relief from double taxation in relation to income tax and any tax of a similar
character imposed by the laws of that territory, and that it is expedient that those arrange-
ments shall have effect in relation to income tax notwithstanding anything to the contrary
contained in any enactment.
AND WHEREAS the arrangements specified in a Convention between the Government
of the United Kingdom and the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden (which Convention
is set out in Schedule 1 of this Order) have been made with the Government of the Kingdom of
Sweden by the Government of the United Kingdom and the Convention has by an Exchange
of' Notes between the Government of the United Kingdom and the Government of the Kingdom
of Sweden (which Exchange of Notes is set out in Schedule II to this Order) in pursuance
of the Provisions of Article XXVIII of the Convention, has been extended to the State.
1. Short title. This Order may be cited as the Income Tax (Double Taxation Relief)
(Sweden) Order, 1975. .


2. Declaration. It is hereby declared,

(a) that the arrangements specified in the Convention set out in Schedule 1 to this
Order, have by virtue of Article XXIX of the said Convention, \been made with
the Government of Kingdom of Sweden with a view to affording relief from double
taxation in relation to income tax and tax of a similar character imposed by the
laws of Sweden;

VACANCY FOR ECONOMIST II

A vacancy exists at the Caribbean Community
Secretariat for an Economist II.
2. Appointment may be on a permanent basis
or on secondment from the Public Service of a
Member State of the Caribbean Community with
salary in the scale G$1,207 X $41 $1,371 a
month and house allowance at the rate of $271.25
a month, both tax free.

The Public is hereby reminded that in accord-
ance, with the Birds and Fish Protection Ordin-
ance Cap. 44 as amended, it is prohibited to kill
or take:-

TURTLES
(a) Turtles or turtle eggs on land
(b) Turtles under 20 lbs. in weight

LOBSTERS
(a) Lobsters carrying eggs
(b) Lobsters of less than 1 lb. in weight
(c) Lobsters of less than nine inches in
length

Closed Season
There is a closed season for turtles between
1st May and 31st July, and a closed season for
lobsters between 1st May and 30th September.

Any person failing to comply with these
regulations mentioned above shall on a first
convi ion before a Magistrate be liable to a fine
of $2) ).00; on any subsequent conviction to fine
of $500.00 and in default to imprisonment for
any term not exceeding three (3) months.
