NOTICE


In accordance with the provisions of sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the Aid to Pioneer
Industries Ordinance, 1952, notice is hereby given that subject to the consideration cf any
objections which may be received by him pursuant to this Notice, the Governor proposes
under sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the said Ordinance to make an Order in the foun set
out in the Schedule hereto.
2. Any person who objects to the making of such Order is hereby invited to give notice
in writing of his objection and of the grounds on which he relies in support thereof to the
Secretary to the Cabinet at the Premier's Office in Kingstown, on or before the 11th day of
May, 1976. ...

CONFECTIONARY) ORDER, 1976.

1976).


1. Short title. This Order may be cited- as the Aid to Pioneer Industries (Manufacture
of Confectionery) Order, 1976.

2. Declaration. The establishment, maintenance and operation in the State of plant for
the manufacture of Confectionery is hereby declared to be a Pioneer Industry for the
purposes of the Aid to Pioneer Industries Ordinance, 1952, and confectionery so manufactured
is declared to be a pioneer product for the said purposes.


Made by Cabinet under Section 3(1) of the Aid to Pioneer Industries Ordinance, (No. 5
of 1952) this 12th day of April, 1976.

VACANT POST OF CONSULTANT PAEDIATRICIAN,
ST. VINCENT, WEST INDIES


Applications are invited from suitably quali-
fled persons for the post of Consultant Paediatri-
cian, Medical Department, Ministry of Health,
Housing, Community Development & Local
Government.

Qualifications:
The successful applicant must possess:-
(a) Medical qualifications registrable in
St. Vincent
(b) Membership of the Royal College of
Physicians or equivalent qualifications
with a Diploma in Child Care.

Appointment:
The appointment may be either on a permanent
pensionable basis or on contract for a period of
three years in the first instance. If on contract
a gratuity of 25% of salary is payable.

Salary:
The successful applicant may opt to receive
salary of either:-
(a) $12,600 (Eastern Caribbean) \per an-
num plus $900 per annum for a Con-
sultant without consultancy or other
private practice;

(b) $10,800 (Eastern Caribbean) per an-
num plus $900 per annum lor a Con-
suicant with fee-earning Consultancy
practice, and ordinary private practice
to the extent that this is permitted by
the rules and etiquette of the profes-
sion.
A transport allowance of $600 per an-
num is payable.

Duties:
The successful applicant will be responsible
to the Senior Medical Officer through the Medi-
cal Superintendent, Kingstown General Hos-
pital, and will be required to
(a) organise and manage the Paediatric
Section of the Kingstown General Hos-
pital;
(b) to advise and assist in paediatrics on
a State-wide basis;
(c) undertake such other duties as may be
assigned him by Government through
its authorized officers.
Applications stating experience, and accom-
panied by proof of qualifications, a recent photo-
graph and two (2) recent testimonials, should
be addressed to the Chief Personnel Officer, Ser-
vice Commissions Department, Kingstown, St.
Vincent, West Indies and should reach him not
later than 15th May 1976.

VACANT POST OF SENIOR REGISRTAR
(ANAESTHETICS) ST. VINCENT

Applications are invited from suitably quali-
fied persons for the post of Senior Registrar in
Anaesthetics, Kingstown General Hospital, Medi-
cal Department, Ministry of Health. Housing,
,Community Development & Local Government.

Qualifications:
The successful applicant must possess:-
(a) A Medical qualifications rcgistrable in
St. Vincent
(b) A Diploma in Anestheties or equivalent
qualifietion and should have at least
three years practical experience in the
field,

Appointment:
The appointment may be either on a perman-
ent and pensionable basis or on contract for a
period of three years in the first instance.

Salary:
Salary will be in the scale $9,720 X $480 -
$10,200 X $600 $11,400 E.C. per annum plus
a pay addition of $900 per annum without pri-
vate practice;


or in the scale of $7,320 X $360 $8,400 E.C.
per annum, with private practice;
A transport allowance of $600 per annum is
payable.

The successful applicant will be required to
assist the Consultant Anaesthctist in the orgali-
isation and management of the Anaesthetic Sec-
tion of the Kingstown General Hospital and with
anaesthetics on a State-wide basis. He wi!l
work at the direction of the Consultanlt Anaes-
thetist, who will be responsible to the Senior
Medical Officer through the Medical Superin-
tendent. Kingstown General Hospital for the
performance of his ducies. In the absea:le of a
Consultant, the Registrar will be responsible to
the enior-Medical Offier, through: the Medical
Superintendent, Kingstown General Hospital for
the operation of the Section.

Applications, stating experience and accom-
panied by proof of qualifications, a recent photo-
graph and two (2) recent testimonials, should
be addressed to the Chief Personnel Officer, Ser-
vice Coramissions Department, Kingstown, St.
Vincent, West Indies and should reach him not

VACANCY FOR POST OF OBSTETRICIAN/
GYNAECOLOGIST

Applications are invited from suitably quli-.
fled persons for the post of Obstetrieian/Gynae-
cologist, Kingstown General IIospital, Medical
& Health Department, Ministry of Health, Hous-
ing, Community Development & Local Govern-
nmnt. St. Vincent. The appointment may be
permanent and pensionable or on contract for
three years in the first instance. If on contract,
a gratuity of 25% is payable on successful com-
pletion of contract.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a medical qualifi-
fication registrable in St. Vincent, must have
successfully completed post-graduate training
in Obstetrics and Gynaecology holding the
M.R.C.O.G. or its equivalent, and have had at
least three years practical experience in the
field as a Consultant.

Duties:
The holder of the post will be required to
advise and assist in Obstetrics/Gynaecology on
a state-wide basis, and be responsible for :-
(a) Out-patient pre-natal, post-natal and
Gynaecological clinics;
(b) assisting with the operation of a family
planning programme;

(c) the organisation and management of
the Maternity Section of the Kingstown
General Iospital;
(d) supervision of the Midwifery Training
Programme for nurses.
He will be assisted by a Senior Registrar, and
will be required to be on call for emergency
duty. He will be responsible to the Senior
Medical Officer, through the Medical Super-
intendent Kingstown General Hospital for the
performance of his duties.

Salary:
The successful applicant may opt to receive
salary of either:-
(a) $10,800 E.C. (fixed) per annum, plus
a nav addition, of $909 E.C. ner ann-p'r
with fee earning consultancy practice,
and ordinary private practice to the
extent that tuis is permitted by the rules
and etiquette of ihe profession.
(b) $12,603 E.C. (fixed) per annum, plus
a piy addition of $900 E.C. per annum
without ordinary private or consuit-
ancy practice.
A transport allowance of $S00 per an-
num is payable.

URBAN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

The Urban Development Corporation, St.
Lucia invites the submission of prequalification
data from interested consulting engineers in
connectica with the design and construction of
an Urban Working Class Housing development
at La Resource, near Vieux Fort, St. Lucia.
The scope of the engineering work would in-
clude engineering surveys, the preparation of
appropriate design drawings and specifications
as well as other contract documents required for
going to tender for the construction of the pro-
ject, supervision and inspection of construction
and issuance of interim payment certificates.
'The project calls for the construction of the
infrastructure and houses for a sub-division of
iLJ ijw ihlcomne houses.
The total cost of the project is estimated at
EC$1,224,590 financing of the project will be
indertaken ty the Urban Development Cor-
poration and the Caribbean Development Bai;k
utilising USAID funds.
Consideration will be limited to consulting
engineers whose principal place of business is
in one of the member countries of the Caribbean
Development Bank, in the USA or in any other
eligible country. A list of ineligible countries
is available from the General Manager, Urban
Development Corporation, Castries, St. Lucia
or the Caribbean Development Bank, Wildey,
Barbados.
Prequalification information submitted for
consideration should stress similar types of work
performed and the location thereof.
Consulting engineering firms, whether acting
shigly or joint ventures, should each submit
an executed copy of a form which may be
obtained from the office of the Urban Develop-
ment Corporation, P.O. Box 299, Castries St.
Lucia or from the Caribbean Development Bank,
P.O. Box 498, Wildey, St. Michael, Barbados.
Prequalification information must be received
not later than 16th June, 1976 in the office of the
Urban Development Corporation, St. Lucia with
a copy sent to the Caribbean Development Bank.
The data submitted will be evaluated by the
Urban Development Corporation, St. Lucia and
a short list of firms or joint ventures prepared.
Those on the short list will be requested to sub-
mit technical proposals for the project.

IN THE ESTATE OF SAMUEL SWEEN DECEASED
ELIZABETH THE SECOND by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain
of Northern Ireland and of our other Realms and Territories, Queen of the Commonwealth,
Defender of the Faith.
To the Kin (if any) who are entitled to share and all persons having or claiming any
interest in the estate of Samuel Sween deceased.
WHEREAS it appears by Affidavit of Cosmore Pompey of Overland Sworn on the 30th
day of March, 1976 that Samuel Sween late of Georgetown of the Parish of Charlotte of the
State of St. Vincent died on the 26th day of December, 1969 at Georgetown, intestate married
without known issue or parent brother or sister of the whole or half blood or their issue
grand parent, uncle or Aunt of the whole blood or half blood or their issue but the said deceased
is survived by his wife Loretta Sween of Georgetown.
AND WHEREAS the said Loretta Sween died on the 22nd day of February, 1972 a widow
without known issue or parent brother or sister of the whole or half blood or their issue grand
parent, uncle or Aunt of the whole blood or half blood or their issue.
AND WHEREAS the said Loretta Sween is the only heir of the said Samuel Sween.
AND WHEREAS the said Samuel Sween estate consists of one and a half (12) lots of
land situate at Overland.
AND WHEREAS the said Loretta Sween sold the said land to Cosmore Pompey for seven
hundred dollars ($700.00).
AND WHEREAS the said Cosmore Pompey is a creditor of the said Loretta Sween.
NOW this is to command you that within one month after Service by Publication hereof
on you, inclusive of the day of such service, you do cause an appearance to be entered for you
in the principal probate Registry of Our High Court of Justice at Kingstown and accept or
refuse letters of administration of all the estate which by law devolves to and vests in the
personal representatives of the said deceased, or show cause why letters of administration of
his estate should not be granted to the said Cosmore Pompey.
AND take notice that in default of your so appearing and accepting and extracting
letters of administration as aforesaid our said Court will proceed to grant letters of admin-
istration of the estate of the said Samuel Sween to the said Cosmore Pompey, your absence
notwithstanding.
Dated this 8th day of April 1976 and in the year of our reign.

situate at Camden Park and to the establishment and operation of manufacturing
plant for the manufacture of draperies, bed sheets and spreads, pillow cases
and table cloths (by virtue of the provisions of the Aid to Pioneer Industries
(Manufacture of Draperies, Bed Sheets and Spreads, Pillow Cases and Table
Cloths) Order, 1976 (S.R. & O. No. 4 of 1976) and for the purposes of the Aid
to Pioneer Industries Ordinance, 1952).
