Applications are invited from suitably quali-
fied persons for training with a view to filling
the following positions in a government owned
commercial bank. Selected applicants in the
appropriate cases will be required to undergo
training abroad.

practice is not allowed, but an allowance of 25%'
of salary is payable in lieu thereof. A trans-
port allowance is attached to the post.

Passages: Free passages in the case of a
contract, return passages will be provided for
the officer, his wife and children not exceeding
six persons in all. Children must be under 18
years of age, unmarried and dependent on the
officer.

Quarters: If Government quarters are avail-
able these will be rented to the officer at a rental
not exceeding 12Y1 2 of salary up to a maximum
of $100 per month. An OSAS officer will be
eligible for furnished quarters provided by Gov-
ernment at a rental of 12%20%.

Leave: Thirty (30) working days per annum,
out of which twelve (12) working days com-
pulsory leave must be taken annually. Leave
will be granted only after one (1) year of resi-
dent service.

Duties: The Officer is the Head of the Medi-
cal and Health Department and will be required
to advise the Minister of Health on all medical
and public health matters in the State, including
the organisation and supervision of all Medical
Institutions and District Health and Medical
Services; also to carry out such other duties not
inconsistent with those of the post which may be
assigned to him by his Ministry.

Applications accompanied by proof of quali-
fications and experience, two recent testimonials
and a recent photograph should be submitted to
the Chief Personnel Officer, Service Commissions
Department, Kingstown, St. Vincent, to reach
him not later than 15th March 1976. Appli-
cants already in Government Service should
apply through their respective Governments.

INTRODUCTION OF NOTICE (TICKET
SYSTEM) FOR COMPOUNDED OFFENCES
- BREACHES OF TIE M.V. & R.T. REGS.
1959.


It is hereby notified for Ganeral Information
that the Owner, Driver or Person ineharge of a
Motor Vehicle on any public road which is found
to be on such a road in breach of the following
Regulations: 22, 23, 42, 43 and 53 of the Motor
Vehicle and Road Traffic Regulations S.R. & O.
1959 No. 35. will be required to pay the com-
pounded (fixed) penalty of five dollars ($5.00),
within 21 days from the date of service of such


notice on such Owner, Driver or Person incharge
of the said Vehicle, personally or by leaving such
Notice (Ticket) on the Vehicle.

REMOVAL OF NOTICE OFFENCE

Any person other than the Owner, Driver or
Person incharge of a Vehicle who is found re-
mroving a Notice served on such Owner, Driver
or Person incharge of a Vehicle. will be liable
t be prosecuted on a charge of obstructing the
Police in the execution of their duty.

The introduction of the above provisions of the
Motor Vehicle and Road Traffice Regulations
1975, No. 30, will be enforced with effect from
a date to ba notified by Press and Radio.

AN ACT to be known as the Marriage Validation Act.
[ 13th January, 1976
Be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by
and with the advice and consent of the House of Assembly of
Saint Vincent, and by the authority of the same as follows:-
1. This Act may be cited as the Marriage Validation Act Short title.
1975 and shall be read as one with the Marriage Ordinance
(Cap. 151) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Ordinance)
and all amendments thereto.


2. The Marriage (Amendment) Regulations No. 50 of
1971 and the Marriage (Amendment) Regulations No. 35 of
1972 shall be deemed to have been laid before the House of
Assembly and approved in accordance with the provisions, of
Section 55 of the principal Ordinance.
3. Any act or thing done under the provisions of the
abovementioned Regulations shall be deemed to have been validly
done.

Whereas by subsection (1) of section 48 of the Constitution set out in
Schedule 2 to the Saint Vincent Constitution O:der, 19(9, it is provided that
the Governor may at any time prorogue or dissolve Parliament.
AND WHEREAS it is ,deemed expedient that Parliament be prorogued.
NOW THEREFORE, I, RUPERT GODFREY JOHN, Knight Bachelor,
Governor of the State of Saint Vincent, in exercise of powers conferred on me
by section 48 of the said Constitution, do hereby declare that Parliament shall
stand prorogued on the 15th day of January, 1976.
