VACANT POST OF DEPUTY SOLICITOR GENERAL
LEGAL DEPARTMENT, GRENADA
Applications are invited from suitably quali-
fied persons to fill the post of Deputy Solicitor
General, Legal Department, Grenada.
The post is pensionable but appointment may
be made on contractual basis of three years, on
the successful completion of which a gratuity
of 121s% of salary is payable.
Applicants must be qualified Lawyers of at
least three (3) years standing.
Salary is at the rate of $15,600 per annum
(fixed). Transport and Entertainment Allow-
ances at the rate of $1,200 per annum each are

TRAINING IN TOURISM
A limited number of awards are available
under the Commonwealth Fund for Technical
Co-operation and the Canadian International
Development Agency for training persons in
the private sector at Hotel Schools in the
Caribbean. Courses in Hotel Management,
Food and Beverage Management, and Front
Office Management are done at the Barbados,
Bahamas, and Trinidad and Tobago Hotel
An applicant to be considered for the award
(i) be engaged in the Tourist Industry;
(ii) be able to satisfy the entry require-
ments into the particular school;
(iii) be sponsored by a hotel or other
enterprise in the Tourist sector.
Further information on the courses available
may be obtained at the Service Commissions
Applications for awards are invited from
suitably qualified personnel in the Tourist
Industry. Each application which must be
accompanied by an appropriate letter of
sponsorship, must give the applicant's age,
academic qualification and experience, and
must be sent to the Chief Personnel Officer for
the attention of the Training Officer to reach
him no later than Wednesday 9th July 1975.

DEPARTMENTAL AND OTHER NOTICES
It has been observed by the Ministry of
Trade and Agriculture that in several instances
importers of goods under licence tend to order
such goods and then apply to the Ministry for
licences only when the goods have actually
arrived in the State.
The attention of the Mercantile Community
and the public at large is drawn to the stipu-
lations in S.R. & O. No. 5 of 1975-the Import
and Export (Control) Regulations 1975 where
it is an offence to import or export any goods
contrary to these Regulations.
The lists of goods under licence are set out
in Schedules I, II and III to the above refer-
enced Regulations and the public is hereby
notified that no application for import licences
will be entertained by the Ministry if the goods
have already arrived in the State before such
applications are made.
