It has been brought to the attention of the
Registrar ,tlait certain persons in the State are
engaged, asi aig.4ts in the initiation of insurance
business,, in. contravention of the, Insurance
Act 1970 (No. 10 of 19711).
For the avoidance of doubt, the Act (Section
2) defirs aes "iWsj~rance agent as "a person
who with the authority of an insurer acts on
his behalf in the initiation of insurance
b1.uinm-ss, thn' receipt of proposals, the issue of
polleies or' the collection of premiums."

There is a penalty imposed for any offence
under the Act; and Section 78 reads:
"Any person who is guilty of an offence
under this Act shall be liable on summary
conv'ititon thurtu.f, if the offender is an
individual. to. a fine. not exceeding two
thousand five hundred dollars or to im-
prisonment for a period not exceeding six
nii.nithi, or'if'the offender is not an indivi-
dual to a' fine not exceeding five thousand
dollars."

- TENDERS FOR THE SUPPLY OF
UNIFORMS

Tenders are invited for supplying and mak-
ing khaki drill uniforms for Port Guards, Cus-
toms Guards, Attendants at the Institutions and
Workers at the Health Department for the year
1975.
The drill used must be of the same shade and
texture for each uniform and samples should be
submitted with the Tender.
Uniforms, consist of long trousers and short
sleeved shirts with two flap pockets and shoulder
straps and the requirements are for approxi-
mately 160 men.
Tenders which will be received up to 3 p.m. on
Wednesday 30th April, 1975 must be sealed
and addressed to the Chairman, Tenders Board,
Ministry of Finance, Kingstown and distinctly
marked- on the envelope "Tender for the supply
of Uniforms".
The Government does not bind itself to accept
the lowest or any tender, and reserves the right
to accept any part of a tender.


UNIFORMS FOR MESSENGERS AT
GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS

Tenders are hereby invited for supplying and
makingivniforms for Messengers at Government
Departments in, respect of the year 1975.
The Uniforms consist of long dark blue tery-
lene trousers and light blue cotton shirts, long
sleeves with two (2) flap pockets and shoulder
straps, and the requirements are for approxi-
- lately 35 messengers. Samples of the material
to be used may be seen on request at the Min-
istry of Finance.
T,nders which will be received up to 3 p.m. on
Wednesday 30th April, 1975 must be sealed
and addressed to The Chairman, Central Supply
Tenders Board,, Ministry of Finance, Kingstown
and distinctly marked 'Tender for the supply
of uniforms for Government Messengers".
The Government does not bind itself to accept
the lowest or any. tender and reserves the right
to aceept any part of ia tender.


TENDERS FOR MOTOR CAR SERVICE

Sealed tenders are invitedd for the provision
of Motor Car Service for the conveyance of pub-
lic officers during 1975.
The Tenders submitted should contain par-
ticulars of the charges proposed to be made for
waiting.
The Contract may be Terminated. by one
month's noticeoneither side, and the person to


whom the Contract is awarded will be required
to enter in a bond with the Government for the
satisfactory performance of the Contract.

The estimated requirements -have been placed
at 1,350 tins per annum and the supplier must
guarantee to supply 450 tins at the beginning
of each term and to deliver same in good con-
dition at Primary Schools on the mainland and
Grenadines as directed by the Chief Education
Officer.
Any delivery charge should be stated in the
Tender separate from the actual price of the
commodity. ,
