VACANT POST OF OVERSEER, WALLILABOU
ESTATE

Applications are invited from suitably quali-
fied persons for a post of Overseer on the
Wallilabou Estate.

Qualifications
Applicants must have at least a good primary
school education and should be willing to
undertake any job connected with field super-
vision. Applicants must also have a good
knowledge of agriculture and be willing and
able to. absorb. training for greater responsi-
bility. Knowledge of book-keeping would be an
asset.

Q quarters
Unfurnished living Quarters will be provided
on the Estate.

Salary
The salary of the post is $3,600 per annum.
Salary increases will be made from time to time
based on merit and the profitability o4 the
Estate.

The successful applicant for the post will be
placed on one year's probation in the first
instance.

Applications should be in the applicant's own.
handwriting, stating age, educational qualifica-
tions, marital status, and jobs held in the last
five years.

LAND AND HOUSE TAX ORDINANCE
CAP. 194
Taxpayers owing property which has not yet
been assessed for Land and House Tax. are re-
minded of their legal obligation to senda return
thereof to the Inland Revenue. The Ordinance
provides as follows-
Section 12. (2) Returns
"Any person who shall erect,w add to, ,or other-
wise substantially increase the value of, any
house, shall within 30 days thereafter, make a
return in writing thereof to the tax officer. .Such
return shall contain a true and correct statement
-of the, description, situation .and value of the
same and also 'the annual rental valie."
Section 18 provides for a penalty for those
not sending in returns, the relevant words
being-
Section 18. (Peualty for,wilful acts of evasion)
. . "If any person, required to, anke ,any
return under this Ordinance shall, without law-
ful excuse,. refuse or. neglect, to, nake the retrn,
in order, to 'evade ,givipg,an aceauAt .of ,any house
or lan ,possessed, .by lipim,,.or whe.rof an account
is required. of, him under, this /Ordinance, or if
any person wilfully makes -an. incorrect return,
he shall be liable to a fine not exceeding two
hundred and forty dollars."
Note"' There is no special ifrm,prescribed, by the
Ordinance for making the. required return which

Regulation made by the Commissioner of Police under Section 79 (1) of the Motor Vehicles
and Road Traffic Ordinance No. 20 of 1940.



FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 1975-between the hours of 8.00 p.m. and 12 midnight.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 1975-between the hours of 1.30 p.m. and 12 midnight.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 1975-between the hours of 7.30 p.m. and 12 midnight.
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 1975-between the hours of 3.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 1975-between the hours of 6.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m.



VEHICLES ENTRY AND EXIT-VICTORIA PARK

On Friday 7th, Saturday 8th, Sunday 9th' and Monday 10th February, 1975 between

Permission is hereby granted by the Commissioner of Police for bands to perform through
the streets of Kingstown on Monday, 10th February, 1975, between the hours of 3.00 p.m.
and 7.00 p.m. These bands will confirm to a system of One-way traffic which has been
arranged.



TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 11TH, 1975

Permission is hereby granted by the Commissioner of Police for bands to perform through
the steeets of Kingstown during Carnival Tuesday, 11th February, 1975, between the hours
of 6.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m. These bands will confirm to a system of one-way traffic which
has been arranged.

Vehicles will enter Victoria Park by way of Bentinck Square.
Exit will be by way .of Peebles bridge and Fernside Road.
Vehicles travelling from the Leeward Highway to Victoria Park will continue straight
along Hospital Road (NORTH to SOUTH) turn left into Tyrrell Street and left into Bentinck
Square.

PARKING ARRANGEMENTS

Buses and Trucks carrying advertising Bands will enter through the southern gate, drop
performers and exit through ethe eastern gate or as directed by Police.
Leeward buses will park on the open space behind the General -Hospital Annexe.
Windward buses will park on the parking lot outside Memorial Hall and on Richmond
Hill School grounds. .

Taxis which usually park on the stand on Hillsboro Street will park on the Stand on the
Eastern side of the Court House.
Buses and Trucks from the Windward area will NOT be permitted to proceed further than
the Memorial Hall.
Buses and Trucks from the Leeward area will NOT be permitted to proceed further than
the corner of Bentinck Square and Tyrrell Street. (That is by the Cooperative Gas Station)..
