TENDERS FOR MOTOR CAR SERVICE

Sealed tenders are invited for the
provision of Motor car service for the
conveyance of puMic officers during
1975.
The Tenders submitted should con-

to be made for waiting.
The Contract may be terminated by
one month's notice on either side, and
the person to whom the Contract is
awarded will be required to enter in
a bond with the Government for the
satisfactory performance of the Con-
tract.
Tenders close at 3 p.m. on Friday
27th December, 1974, and should be
addressed to the Chairman, Tenders
Board, Ministry of Finance, Kingstown
and distinctly marked on the envelope
'Tenders for Motor Car Service'.
Government does not bind itself to
accept the lowest-or any tender.

SUPPLY OF FOOD YEAST BISCUITS

Tenders are hereby invited and will
be received up to 3 p.m. on Friday 27th
December, 1974, for the supply of Food
Yeast Biscuits to the Education Depart-
ment during the year 1975.
The estimated requirements have
been placed at 1,350 tins per annum
and the supplier must guarantee to
Supply 450 tins at the beginning of each
term and to deliver same in good condi-
tion at Primary Schools on the main-
land and Grenadines as directed by the
Chief Education Officer.
Any delivery charge should be stated
in the Tender separate from the actual
price of the commodity.
Tenders are to be addressed to the
Chairman, Tenders Board, Ministry of
Finance and the envelope sealed and
marked 'Tenders for the Supply of
Food Yeast Biscuits'.
Government does not bind itself to
accept the lowest or any tender.


UNIFORMS FOR POSTMEN
Tenders are invited for supplying
and making Uniforms for Postmen for
the year ending 31st December, 1975.


The Uniforms consist of long brown
Terylene Trousers arid beige cotton
shirts, long sleeves with two (2) flap
pockets and shoulder straps, and the
.requirements are for approximately
(20) twenty postmen. Samples should
be submitted with the Tender.
Tenders which will be received up to
3 p.m. on Friday 27th December, 1974
must be sealed and addressed to the
Chairman Central Supply Tenders
Board, Ministry of Finanee,-Kingstown
and distinctly marked on the envelope
'Tenders for the supply of Postmen
Uniforms'.

TENDERS FOR THE SUPPLY OF
UNIFORMS ,

Tenders are invited for supplying
and making khaki drill uniforms for
Port Guards, Customs Guards, Attepd-
ants at the Institutions and Workers at
the Health Department for the year
1975.
The drill used must be of the same
shade and texture for each uniform,
and sample should be submitted with
the Tender.
Uniforms consist of long trousers and
short sleeved shirts with two flap.
pockets and shoulder straps and the'
requirements are for approximately
160 men.
Tenders which will be received up to
3 p.m. on Friday 27th December, 1974
must be sealed and addressed to the
Chairman, Tenders Board, Ministry of.
Finance, Kingstown and distinctly

The Government does not bind itself

Messengers at Government 'Depart-
ments in respect of the year 1975.

deliver at his own expenses into the
stores of Institutions the articles placed
opposite his own name at the price
stated, on such days at such times and
in such quantities as may be stated on
the requisition of the Head of Depart-
ment or officer, in charge.

3! Every article supplied must be of
a sound, good quality and'no article is
to be substituted for the one requisi-
tioned for without the .consent of the

4. Any articles considered by the
Head of Department or officer in charge
to be of inferior quality may be reject-
ed by him, and shall be immediately
removed and replaced by the Contrac-

allowance being made to him for such
Articles.

6. Should the Contractor neglect
to refuse to replace rejected articles
contracted for at the time stated in
the requisition, the Head of Department
or Officer in charge shall be at liberty
to purchase the said articles from other
persons; and the difference between the
price paid for such articles and the
contract price shall be deducted from
the next payment made to the Con-
tractor.

7. The Head of Department or
Officer in charge may, if he should
deem it necessary, purchase articles of
perishable food such as bread, meat,
etc., at once to replace rejected articles.

8. All fresh meat contracted for
must be slaughtered in the slaughter
house in Kingstown.

9. If the Contractor should persist
in such irregularities as stated in para-
graph 6, the Minister of Finance shall
have the power to terminate the con-
tract immediately or at such time as
may appear to him proper and con-
venient.

10. The Contract may be terminated
.at any time by one month's notice being
even either by the Contractor to the
Minister of Finance or by the Minister
of Finance- to the Contractor.


GOVERNMENT OF BELIZE


Consulting Engineering Services for a
Deep Water Port-Belize City; Belize

The Government of Belize invites the
submission of pre-qualification data
from interested consulting engineers, in
connection with the construction of a
deep water port at Belize City, Belize.

The scope of engineering works in-
clude surveys, the preparation of appro-
priate design drawings, cost estimates,
specifications and other contract docu-
ments required for construction tender
of the project, the supervision and in-
spection during construction, and the
issuance of payment certificates.

The project includes the following:-
(a) Construction of 2-400 feet
general cargo berths with mini-
mum depth of 28 feet.
(b) Construction of Roll on/Roll off
berth with minimum depth of 16
feet.
(c) Construction of 600 feet of


general- cargo berth with mini-
mum depth of 10 feet.
(d) Construction of a general cargo
warehouse of 35,000 square feet.
(e) Reclamation to provide a port
area of approximately 6 acres.
'(f) Dredging.

A preliminary design of port facilities
approved by the Government of Belize
and the Caribbean Development Bank
will be the basis of the final design.

The total cost of the project including
engineering fees is expected to be of the
order of BZE $10.6 million. Financing.
of the project will be undertaken by
the Government of Belize and the Carib-
bean Development Bank.

Consideration will be limited to firms
or joint-ventures of firms-whose regular
,place of business is'in one of the follow-
ing territories:-
Antigua, Bahamas, Belize, British
Virgin Islands, Canada, Cayman
Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Guy-
ana, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Kitts-
Nevis7Anguilla, St. Lucia, St. Vin-.
cent, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks
and Caicos Islands, United King-
dom, United States of America and
Venezuela.

Consulting engineering firms whether
acting singly or in joint-ventures should
each submit pre-qualifilation data on a
form which can be obtained from the
Government of Belize or the Caribbean
Development Bank, P.O. Box 408,
Bridgetown, Barbados. W.I.

Pre-qualification data must be re-
ceived not later than 17th December,
1974 in the office of Ministry of Finance
and Economic Development Bank, P. 0;
Box 408, Bridgetown, Barbados.

Pre-qualification date submitted for
consideration, should stress similar
types of work performed and the loca-
tion thereof. An important considera-
tion will be the firm's first hand
knowledge of the site,' and working
condition in the region.

The Government of Belize will evalu-
ate the data submitted and will prepare
a "short-list" of firms or joint-ventures.
These on the "short-list" will be re-
quested to submit non-priced technical
proposals for the project.

THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (JUNIOR PRISON STAFF)
DELEGATION DIRECTIONS, 1974.


(Gazetted 5th November, 1974).

In exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 78(2) of the
Constitution of Saint Vincent, the Public Service Commission, -with the
consent of the Premier, hereby makes the following Directions:-
1. These Directions may be cited as the Public Service Commission
(Junior Prison Staff) Delegation Directions, 1974.
2. In these Directions "junior prison staff" has the meaning ascribed
to that term in the Prisons Ordinance, 1967.
3. Subject to the provisions of section 78 of the Constitution of Saint
Vincent and of the Public Service Commission Regulations, 1969, the powers
of the Commissioin to exercise disciplinary control and dismissal over members
of the junior prison staff may be exercised by the Superintendent of Prisons.
4. Any powers to exercise disciplinary control and dismissal over members
of the junior prison staff delegated by the Public Service Commission (Dele-
gation) Directions, 1969, shall no longer be exercised by the appropriate
authorised officer specified in those Directions.
