Applications are invited for the vacant
post of Principal, St. Vincent Technical
College, Ministry of Education, Com-
munity Developmnt and Youth Affairs.
The appointment may be permanent
and pensionable or on a contractual
basis. In case of the latter a gratuity
:at the rate of 25% of total salary is pay-
able on successful completion.
The salary payable is $10,200 per an-
nmin fixed. Candidates should possess
(a) a degree or appropriate technical-
-education qualification, (b) a profes-
sional teaching qualification, and (c)
-suitable relevant experience in one or


more of the fields of teaching,

FOR COMMUNICATIONS AND WORKS


Applications are invited from suit-
ably qualified persons for the post of Air
Traffic Control Cadet-Airports Depart-
ment, Ministry of Communications and
Works.

Applicants should possess the mini-
mum requirement of G.C.E. '0' Level
Certificates or equivalent in English
Language and Mathematics. Preference
will be given to candidates with addi-
tional passes in Physics and Geography.

The appointment will be for a proba-
tionary period of two years in, the first
instance. The salary attached to the
post is in the scale V 33-27 $2,400 X
$120-$2,520 X $180-$2,880.

The successful applicant will be re-
quired to undertake on-the-job training
and to give technical and other assist-
ance to the Airport Manager and staff
in the handling of Air Ti'affic and with
other applied duties. The Cadet is ex-
pected to qualify for appointment as an
Airport Officer after training in Air
Traffic Control and Meteorology.

Qualifications:
Higher National Diploma or Higher
National Certificate qualifications or the

years experience in inspectorate work.

Graduate qualifications with suitable
experience may be given preference.

Salary:
The salary of the post is in the scale
V 7-$9,720.. Transport allowance will
be paidin accordance with local regu-
lations.

Duties:
The Inspector will be responsible for
.the inspection of all Public Electrical
Installations throughout St. Vincent and
the Grenadines and for the issuing of
certificates for such installations. IHe
will also be responsible for the main-
tenance of all Government installations
and-will be required to take-charge of
the Public Works Department Electrical
Division.

The appointment may he either on a

SUPPLIES CONTROL (EXPORT LICENCE FEES) (AMENDMENT)
REGULATIONS, 1974.


(Gazetted 24th September,.- 974).


1. Short title. These Regulations may be cited as the Supplies Control
(Export Licence Fees) (Amendment) -Regulations, 1974, and shall be read
as one with the Supplies Control (Export Licence Fees) Regulations, 1974
(S.R. & O. No. 17 of 1974)-(hereinafter referred to as the principal Regulations)
and all amendments thereto.
2. Principal Regulations amended. The principal Regulations are hereby
Sanended by revoking that part of the Schedule relating to ."Copra" and
"Refined Cooking Oil" and replacing the same as follows:-

CUSTOMS (AMENDMENT). REGULATIONS, 1974.


'(Gazetted 24th September, 1974).


1. Short title. These Regulations may be cited as the Customs (Amend-
ment) Regulations, 1974, and shall be read as one with the Customs Regulations,
1964, (S.R. & 0. No. 10 of 1964), (hereinafter referred to as the principal
Regulations) and all amendments thereto.

2. Principal Regulations amended. The Principal Regulations are
amended by adding the following after Part XVII:-
PART XVIII
Prevention of Smuggling Spirits.
149. Definition. In this Part, "spirits" means whisky, Rum and Gin.
150. Importation by Sole Distributor only. No person, firm, company
or other organisation shall import any spirits, unless the said person or firm as
the case may be is the sole agent and distributor for th brand of
spirits, and has been registered with and certified a w, h W44i by the
Comptroller of Customs: S N'l'
Provided that this regulation shall not appl /spirits in a pas ~ er's
baggage for private consumption not exceeding up8s-.5 W7
151. No spirits shall be imported unless the i of the sole dis ri tor
is printed on the label afffixed to the bottle contau in the spirits, d the
heading "Sole Distributor for St. Vincent." V,
Provided that this regulation shall not apply toI iri~ enger's
. baggage for private consumption not exceeding 40 ounce .

152. Containers Not to Exceed 40 ounces. No spirits may be imported
in containers containing more than 40 ounces, nor may spirits be bulked or
stored at anytime after importation in containers containing more than 40
ounces.

153. Vplawful Possession or Trading. No person, firm, company or other
organisation shell, buy, have in his or its possession or sell any spirits which
has been imported, bulked or stored contrary to these Regulations.

154. Offences and penalties. Any person who contravenes any of, the
provisions of the Regulations contained in this Part shall be guilty of an offence
and liable on summary conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding
twelve months, or to a fine not -exceeding two thousand dollars, or to both
such imprisonment and fine, and any goods the subject matter of the offence
shall be forfeited to the. Crown.

155. Offences by Compelny. Where any offence under these Regulations
is committed by -a firm, company or other organisation, every, director and
officer of the Company, every partner and officer of the firm or every member
and every person concerned in the management of the affairs of such organisa-
tion as the case may be, shall severally or-jointly be liable to be prosecuted and
punished for, the offence in like manner as if he Jhad himself committed the
offence, unless, the onus of proving which shall lie on him, the act or bmission
constituting the offence took place without his knowledge, consent or con-
nivance.

156. Commencement. These Regulations shall come into force, on a day
to be appointed by the Governor by Proclamation in the Official Gazette.


Made by the Governor under section 120 of the Customs Ordinance (Cap.
188) and section 2 of the Customs Duties Ordinance (Cap. 184) this 23rd day
of September, 1974.
