CADET, AIRPORTs DEPARTMENT MINISTRY
FOR COMMUNICATIONS AND WORKS

Applications are invited from suit-
ably qualified persons for the post of Air
Traffic Control Cadet-Airports Depart-
ment, Ministry of Cominunieations and
Works. '
Applicants should possess the mini-
nunm requirement of G.C.E. '0' Level
Certificates or equivalent in English
Language and Mathematics. Preference
will be given to candidates with addi-
tional passes in Physics and Geography.
The appointment will be for a proba-
tionary period of two years in the first
instance. The salary attached to the
post is in the scale V 33-27 $2,400 X
$120-$2,520 X $180-$2,880.
The successful applicant will be re-
quired to undertake on-the-job training
and to give technical and other assist-
ance to the Airport Manager and staff
in the handling of Air-Traffic and with
other applied duties. The Cadet is ex-
pected to qualify for appointment as an
Airport Officer after training ini Air
Traffic Control and Meteorology. T

VACANT POST OF ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR,
ELECTRICAL DivisioN PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT, MINISTRY OF COMMUNI-
CATIONS AND WORKS


Applications are invited from suit-
ably qualified persons for appointment
to the post of Electrical Inspector in the
Ministry of Communications & Works.

Qualifications:
Higher National Diploma or Higher
National Certificate -qualifications or the
equivalent will be required with five (5)
years experience in inspectorate work.

Graduate qualifications with suitable
experience may be given preference.

Salary:
The salary of the post is in the scale
V 7-$9,720. Transport allowance will
be paid in accordance with local regu-
lations.

Ditties:
The Inspector will be responsible for
the inspection of all Public Electrical
Installations throughout St. Vincent and
the Grenadines and for the issuing of
certificates for such installations. He
will also be responsible for the main-
tenance of all Government installations
and will be required to take charge of
the Public Works Department Electrical,
Division.

Appoinlment:
- The appointment may be either on a
permanent and pensionable basis or on
contract for a period of three (3) years.

fications, two (2) recent testimonials and
a recent photograph should beforwarded
to the Chief Personnel Officer, Service
Commissions Department, Kingstown,
St. Vincent to reach him not later than

COMMONWEALTH SCHOLARSHIP AND
FELLOWSHIP, PLAN:
POST GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP IN
TROPICAL AGRICULTURE; 1973-1975
TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO



The Government of Trinidad and
Tobago has invited St. Vincent to nom-
inate a suitably qualified graduate for
the award of a Commonwealth Scholar-
ship in Tropical Agriculture.

2. The Scholarship is tenable from
October 1975, at the University of the
West Indies St. Augustine, Trinidad.
The award will be for two years in the
first instance.

3. The scholarship covers expenses
for travel, living and study. Family
allowances are payable, provided that
the scholar's family accompanies him
to Trinidad and that his wife is not
employed. No passages are provided
for dependents, however.

4. Applicants should not have reach-
ed their 35th birthday by 1st October,
1975. Preference will be given to can-
didates between 22 and 28 years of age.

5. The successful candidate will be
required to sign aBond, with sureties,
to return to St. Vincent for a specified
period, onl completion of his studies.

6. Applications, oft Form T1, should
be submitted to the Chief Personnel
Officer for attention of Training Officer
by Thursday 31st October, 1974. The
names and addresses of three referees,
two of them persons, under whom the
candidate has worked or studied,.
should be -submitted with the applica-
tion forms. Copies of certificates and/
or diplomas should be attached. *

7. Applications which are incomplete-
or not supported by the required docu-
ments will not be entertained.
