(1) ECONOMIST

Duties:
The Economist will be required to"
administer selected CDB and other loan
schemes and development projects, to
undertake market analyses and pro-
jections for potential projects, to
identify and access the economic
benefits of industrial and tourism pro-
jects, to prepare promotion brochures,
to assist in the formulation of the
terms and conditions of loans and leases,
and to perform other related duties
assigned from time to time.

Qualification and Experience:
A degree in Economics. Any other
degree or professional qualification in
a field related to the fore-mentioned
duties may, at the discretion of the
Board of Directors of the Development
Corporation, be considered the equiva-
lent of a degree in Economies. A
knowledge of project appraisal tech-
niques, development economics, and
land development will be an asset.

Salary:


Minimum i : $8,400 per annum.
Depending on qualification and experi-
ence the successful applicant may be

LEASE OF WATERFRONT
RECLAMATION SITES.



Sites on the reclaimed foreshore land
in Kingstown are now available for
lease on the following -broad terms and
conditions:-

(i) The uses to which the sites are
put shall be in accordance with
the Final Pihysical Plan for the
arei ;

(2) The leases will be for a maxi-
mum period of fifty years and
will not in any case extend
beyond the year 2024;

(3), Rents will be reviewable every
ten years, so that there will he


five rent review intervals in a
fifty-year lease;

(4) Leases, to be paid for in respect
of each ten-year rent review
interval, may be paid for by
preferably a single preilum
at the commencement of the
rent review interval (at the
comnuencement of the lease in
the case of the first interval),
or by annual rentals, or by a
combination of annual rentals
and premium;

(5) For leases taken inl 1974, pay-
ments per square foot, if made
by a single premiuin will be
the sunm of $1.00 per year and,
if made by annual rentals, will
be $1.43 per year;

(6) Payments for leases taken
after 1974 will be higher than
those for leases taken in 1974;

(7) Rent reviews will be based on
711//; of the market valuation,
at the time of the review, on
comparable neighboring land,
and suchl market valuation will,
if desired by the lease, be de-
termined by arbitration; and

(8) Prospeetive lessees must enter
into a lease agreement with
the Corporation..

1. Short title. This Order may be cited a- the Price and Distribution
of Goods (No. 8) (Amendment) Order, 1974, aud shall be read as one with
the Price and Distribution of Goods Order No. 27 of 1971, (hereinafter referred
to as the principal Order) and all amendments thereto.
2. Principal Order amended. The principal Order is hereby amended
by revoking that part. of the Schedule relating to Kerosene, and replacing the
same as follows:--
