TREASURY BILLS


ISSFE NO. 7


Tenders are invited for the issue of St. Vincent Government Treasury Bills
which will be made to the amount of one million, eight hundred thousand dollars
($1,800,000).
These Bills will be in denominations of $500, $1.000, $5.000. $10.000, $5,').000.
$100,000 and will be payable at par ninety-one days after the date of issue.
They will be issued on Tuesday 18th June, and will be payable on Tuesday 17th
September, 1974.
Each tender must be for an amount of not less than $1,000. and must
specify the amount which will be given for every one hundred dollars of the
amount tendered.
Application forms are available at the Treasury and the Commercial Banks,
and when completed should be forwarded to the Financial Secretary, Ministry
of Finance in sealed envelopes addressed:-

Ministry Building.
Applications must reach the Ministry of Finance not later than 3 p.m. on
Friday 14th June, 1974.

Stale who are over 17 years.
The science of Agriculture has many
facets amtd successful applicants will be
encouraged to fitnd and satisfy their own
particular interest in the field, by on the
job training in the first instance and
later through study opportunities
abroad if they show dedication to the
profession.
Qualifications:
Applicants without a secondary educa-
tion will be considered if they are good
practical agriculturalists and of the
right personality, but those having
passes in Botany or Biology or Zoology,
Chemistry, Mathematics and English at
Ordinary or Advanced Level G.C.E.
would start with an advantage.
Appointment:
The appointment is pensionable and
will be for a probationary period of two
(2) years in the first instance.
Salary:
Salary will be paid in the scale V40-
20 $1,680 X $60 $1,800 X $120- -
$2,520 X $180 -$3,600:
Incremental credit will be granted for
relevant G.C.E. subjects in excess of
either English Language or Matltema-
tics.

The attention of persons who own the
type of vehicles mentioned above is
drawn to the provisions contained in
Regulations 20 and 21 of the Motor
Vehicle and Road Traffic Regulations
1955, No. 35. and all amendments there-
to, whereby no licence may be issued or
renewed for such vehicles unless the
Inspector certifies that the vehicle com-
plies with all provisions of the Ordin-
ance, and these Regulations.


The Inspector of Motor Vehicles will
be available at the Public Works De-
partmnctt Compound (Arnos.Vale) daily
from 8.30 a.m. to 12 noon and 1.30 p.m.
to 4.00 p.m. except on Sundays and
Public Holidays to ensure that all the
alove-menitioned vehicles are inspected
and are road worthy before July 1, 1974.

Regulation 20 (6) requires that these
vehicles are examined twice annually,
that is. before 30th June and 31st
December each year.

noon and continuing.

All parties concerned, also such per-
sons as are bound over by recognizance
to prosecute, answer charges or give
evidence or summoned as Jurors or wit-
nesses, are hereby commanded to give
their attention and attendance.

KINGSTOWN BOARD NOTICE


A competitive examination for the
award of eight scholarships, four girls
and four boys, tenable at a recognized
Secondary School, will be held art the
St. Vincent Grammar School on FI'iday
June 28, 1974, beginning at 9.00 a.m.

2. Each Candidate must:-
(a) HIave been less than twelve
and a half years of age on
September 30, 1974.

(b) be a native of the State or
child of a native
(c) have been residing in Kings-
town or within half a mile
of the boundaries thereof
during three years previous
to September 30, 1974
(d) be a pupil of a private or
public s~Ahool in the State
(e) produce a.certificate of good
behaviour from the Head
Teacher of such school.

3. No Candidate shall be awarded a
scholarship who obtains less than one
third of the maximum of marks in each
subject and less than one half of the
total marks in the Examination.


4. Candidates will be examined in
English, (including Comprehension)
Arithnmtic, and will be given an Intelli-
gence Test.
5. The scholarships are awarded for
a period of six years, provided the
scholars attendance, conduct and pre-
gress s shown by the term reports are
considered satisfactory.
6. Application, accompanied by
Birth or Baptismal Certificate must
reach the Office of the Kingstown Board,
Paul's Lot, not later than Friday, June
7, 1974.
