DEPARTMENTAL AND OTHER
NOTICES.


NOTICE


The Public is hereby reminded that
in accordance with the Birds and Fish.
Protection Ordinance Cap. 44 as amend-
ed, it is prohibited to kill or take:-
TURTLES
(a) Turtles or turtle eggs on land
(b) Turtles under 20 lbs in weight

LOBSTERS
(a) Lobsters carrying eggs
(b) Lobsters of less than 1 lb. in
weight
(c) Lobsters of less than nine inches
in length

Closed Season:
There is a closed season for turtles-
between 1st May and 31st July, and a
closed season for lobsters between 1st
May and 30th September.

Any person failing to comply with
these regulations mentioned above shall
on a first conviction before a Magistrate
be liable to a fine of $250.00; or any
subsequent conviction to fine of $500.00
and in default to imprisonment for any
term not exceeding three (3) months.

Appeal will set in the State of Saint
Vincent on Monday 20th May, 1974,
commencing at 9 o'clock in the forenoon.

ORDINANCE- NO. 17/51

It is hereby notified for general in-
formation that the undermentioned
chattels, property of Vincent Glynn of
Bequia, levied upon By Virtue of a
Warrant of Seizure and Sale issued
under' the provisions of Section 39 of
the abovementioned Ordinance, will be
offered for sale by Public Auction at
the .Revenue Office, Port Elizabeth,
Bequia, on Wednesday 15th May, 1974
at 11 o'clock in the forenoon for the
recovery of rates due.

STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS,

1974, No. 14.


COTTON PROTECTION (CLOSE SEASON) ORDER.


(Gazetted 7th May, 1974.)


1. Short title. This Order may be cited as the Cotton Protection (Close
Season) Order, 1974.
2. Close Season. The period beginning on the 1st day of May, 1974,
and ending on the 15th day of August, 1974, for the Island of Saint Vincent,
and the period beginning on the 15th day of April, 1974, and ending on the
30th day of June, 1974, for the Saint Vincent Grenadines, shall be the Close
Season Within the meaning of the Cotton Protection Ordinance, (Cap. 37).


Made by the Governor under section 3 of the Cotton Protection Ordinance
(Cap. 37) this 2nd day of May, 1974.
