Marketing Board will NOT purchase
sweet potatoes weighing less than 1/. 1).
each OR over 3 lbs. each. This is, in
part, as a result of the firm insistence

These grades. Growers are therefore
kindly asked to ensure that sweet
potatoes less than 1/, lb. or over 3 lBs. are
not taken to the Marketing Board since
they will be rejected.
The Conimittee appointed by the
IHonourable Premier to look inio the
sweet potato production and( registration
problem is continuing its work. Con-
sideration is being given to improved
methods of bag distribution. Farmers
will be informed accordingly.

AN ACT to provide for the Service of Saint Vincent for the
year ending on the thirty-first day of December, One
Thousand Nine Ilundred and Seventy-four.

Be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by
and with the advice and consent of the House of Assembly of
Saint Vincent and by the authority of the same as follows:-
1. This Act may be cited as the Appropriation Act, 1974. Short title.
2. (1) The issue from the Consolidated Fund of the Orant of Supply
sum of Twenty nine million, Eight Hundred and Eighteen of $29,8l8,16i .
Thousand, One Hundred and Sixty five Dollars is hereby
authorised for meeting expenditure for the service of Sailt'-
Vincent for the year ending on the thirty-first day of Dece i'
One Thousand Nine Hundred and Seventy-four uu(i r tt? C) -
Heads of Expenditure specified in the said Schedukh beeto \0
annexed; and the sum specified in the said Schedule A)p )site -- '

AN ACT to amend the Land and House Tax Ordinance, Cap.
194.

Be it enacted by the Queen's Most.Excellent Majesty, by
and with the advice and consent of the lHouse of Assemlbly of
Haint Vincent; and by the authority of the same, as follows:-
1. This Act may be cited as the Land and House Tax
(Amendment) Act, 1974. and shall be read as oun with the Short title.
Land and House Tax Ordinance (hereinafter referred to as the ('np. 194
principal Ordinance) and all amendments thereto.

2. In respect of the year one thousand nine hundred and si
seventy-four Section 37 of the principal Ordinance is hereby ine -
amended by deleting the words "fiftenth day of J.anuarv in / lj' e
each year" appearing in the first and second lines thereof an "l '".:.
substituting therefore the words "thirty first day of 'May". ''

AN ACT to amend the Currency (No. 2) Ordinance, 1965.

Be it. ennated by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by
and with the advice and consent of the House of Assembly of
Saint Vincent and bythe authority of the same, as follows:-
1. This Act may be cited as the Currency (No. 2) (Amend- Short title.
ment) Act 19!)74, and shall be read as one with the Currency
(No. 2) Ordinance, 1965, (as amended by the Currency (No. 2) No. 2 of 1965.

the withdrawal of Barbados from the Agreement and
generally to the implementing of the provisions of
the 1973 Agreement."

following paragraph-
(3) Of the other directors, one shall be
nominated by each of the participating Gov-
ernmiKnts";
(i) by substituting for paragraph (1) thereof the
following paragraph -
(iii) by deleting paragraph (4) thereof and r, number-
ing paragraphs (5) to (8) thereof as paragraphs
(4) to (7) respectively, and by substituting for
paragraph (5) thereof, as renumbered by the pre--
ceding subparagraph, the following paragraph:-
"(5) Directors other than Managing Direc-
tor shall be appointed for a term of three years
and shall be eligible for re-appointment";
(c) inl Article 7 by substituting for paragraph (3) thereof
the following pagrgraph-
"(3) A quorum at any meeting shall consist
of five directors and decisions shall be taken

Be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty,
by and with the advice and consent of the House of Assembly
of Saint Vincent, and by tlie authority of the' same as fol-
lows:-
1. This Act may be cited as the Electricity Supply
(Amendment) Act. 1974, and shall be read as one with tlhe
Electricity Supply At, 1973 (Iereinafter referred to as the 174 of
principal Act) and all amendments thereto.
2. Section 7 (2) of tile principal Act is hereby amended Section 7(2)
by inserting "and the provisions of section 7A." between of principal
"section," and "the tariff" in the second line thereof. Act amended.
3. Tile principal Act is hereby amended by adding t ,Nw seeti'on .,

sumed by the Company in supplying

less the sum of the said number of
gallons multiplied by the price paid by
the Company in October, 1973, divided
by the tbtal number of units sold.

(2) The surg!arge in relation to the First
Schedule and the surcharge, in relation to the
Second Schedule shall be calculated jointly.

(3) This Sertion shall apply to all units, the
consumption of which is measured by the reading
of meters carried out on or after the first day of
February, 1974."
