VACANCY FOB POST OF OBSTETRICIAN/
GYNAECOLOGIST

Applications are invited from suit-
ably 'qualified persons for the post of
*Obstetrician/Gynaeologist M e d i c a 1
and Health Department, Ministry of
Health, Housing and Local Government,
'St. Vincent. The appointment may be
permanent and pensionable or on con-
tract for two or three years.
Qualiscations:
Candidates must possess a niedical
qualification registrable in St. Vincent,
and in addition must have successfully
completed post-graduate training in
Obstetrics and Gynaecology to a degree
level, or its equivalent.
Duties:
SThe holder of the post will be a
consultant, with responsibility for all
Obstetric and Gynaecological services
in the State, which includes:-
(a) Out-patient pre-natal, post-
natal and Gynaecological
clinics.
(b) Organisation of a f a ily
planning programme.
(c) In-patient hospital care.
(d) Supervision of the Midwifery
Training programme for
nurses.

He will be assisted by a Senior
Registrar, and will be required to be
on call for'emergency duty.
Salary:


The successful applicant may opt to
r e c iv e either $10,000 (fixed) per
annum, with fee earning consultancy
practice or ordinary private practice to
the extent that this is permitted by the
rules and etiquette of the profession or
$12,600 (fixed) -per annum, without
ordinary private -or consultancy
practice.

Applications accompanied by two (2)
recent Testimonials together with proof
of qualifications, should be addressed to
the Chief Personnel Officer, Service
Commissions Department, Kingstowni,
to reach him not later than 30th April,
1974.

qualified persons for the post of Laundry
Supervisor at the Kingstown General
Hospital.

Applicants must have a good stand-
ard of general education, and must
possess a sound knowledge of laundering
procedures. Previous experience in a
similar position will be an advantage.

The successful applicant will assume
responsibility for the whole of the laun-
dering service, including the keeping of
records, and supervision of Staff, and
he will work under the direction of the
Hospital Superintendent.

Salary is in the Scale V41-33 $1,620
X $60-$1,800 X $120-$2;400
Cominencing salary will depend on
qualifications and experience.

Vincent Provisional Definitive Issne of
Postage Stamps would be released for
sale at the General Post Office in Kings-
town and the District Post Offices
throughout the Grenadines on Wednes-
day 24th April, 1974.

The Stamps are of the same designs as
those of the Current St. Vincent Defini-
tive (Bird) Issue in denominations of
1. 2, 3, 4(, 50. 6, 80, 10, 120, 200,
25. 500, $1.00. $2.50, $5.00 with the
words "Grenadines Of" over printed in
Black Letters above the word "St.
Vincent".

Official First Day Covers may be
obtained at the General Post Office and
District Post Office at Port Elizabeth,
Bequia at the price of $10.80.

PRICE AND DISTRIBUTION OF GOODS (NO. 7) (AMENDMENT)
ORDER, 1974.


(Gazetted 16th April, 1974.)


1. Short title. This Order may be cited as the Price and Distribution
of Goods (No. 7) (Amendment) Order, 1974, and shall be read as one with
the Price and Distribution of Goods (No. 2) Order, 1971, (hereinafter referred
to as the principal Order) and all amendments thereto.
2. Principal Order amended. The principal Order is hereby amended
by deleting the provisions in the Schedule relating to Specified Articles "(Fine
Salt" and substituting the following in the respective columns:-
