(L.S.) Seal of SAINT VINCENT, at Government House in SAINT
VINCENT, this 5th day of July, One thousand nine hundred
and seventy-three.

GREETINGS!
By virtue of the power and authority vested in me by Section 22 of the
Constitution of Saint Vincent, and having occasion to be absent from Saint
Vincent, acting in accordance with the advice of the Premier, I do by this
Instrument appoint you the said JOSEPH LAMBERT EUSTACE to be my
Deputy from on or about the sixth day of July, One thousand nine hundred
and seventy-three and until further orders, and in that capacity should the
necessity arise for so doing, to perform on behalf of the Governor of Saint
Vincent during the period recited, but no longer, all things that belong to
the Office of Governor of Saint Vincent, according to the Constitution and
other Laws of Saint Vincent.
II. AND I DO HEREBY DIRECT that you the said JOSEPH
LAMBERT EUSTACE shall not continue to act as Governor's Deputy after
the Governor has arrived at the mainland of Saint Vincent or your said
appointment to act is otherwise determined.
III. AND I DO HEREBY REQUIRE AND COMMAND all and singular
Her Majesty's Officers, Civil, Military, Naval, Air and otherwise, and all
others the inhabitants of the said Saint Vincent and all others whom it may
concern to take due notice thereof and to give their ready obedience
accordingly.
INSTRUMENT appointing JOSEPH LAMBERT EUSTACE, ESQUIRE to
act as Governor's Deputy.

POST OF HEADMASTER (GRADUATE)
ST. VINCENT GRAMMAR SCHOOL
MINISTRY OF EDUCATION,
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT &
YOUTH AFFAIRS.

Applications are invited from suit-
ably qualified persons for appointment
to the post of Headmaster (Graduate)
Grammar School, St. Vincent, West
Indies.
The School is a Government institu-
tion with an enrolment at present of
553 pupils. The post is pensionable.
The appointment may however be on
contract for a period of three years
if preferred. In this event a gratuity
at the rate of 25% of salary will be
payable on the satisfactory conclusion
of the contract.
The officer will be subject to the
local General Orders for the time being
in force in the State in so far as they
are applicable. The appointment will
be subject to medical fitness and will
be on probation for a period of one
year in the first instance.
The successful candidate will be
required to assume duty in September,
1973.
The salary of the post is at the fixed
rate of $9,720 per annum.
Applicants should possess a degree
of a University within the British
Commonwealth and must have had ex-
perience of teaching in a Secondary
School. A Diploma in Education will
be an advantage.
Quarters are not provided. Free
passages to St. Vincent will be pro-
vided for the person appointed, his
wife, and children not exceeding four.
All Government officers are liable to
taxation imposed by local legislation.
Applications giving full particulars,
qualifications and experience of the
applicant, accompanied by three recent
testimonials should be addressed to the
Chief Personnel Officer, Service Com-
missions Department, Kingstown, St.
Vincent, and should reach him not later
than 31st July, 1973.

TENDERS FOR PROVIDING TRUCKING
FOR PROJECTS ON BEQUIA.


The Ministry of Communications and
Works is inviting tenders for trans-
porting of road materials for Road
Construction at Bequia.
The materials required to be trans-
ported are:-
1. Bitumen
2. Aggregate
3. Spoil
4. Boulders
5. Cement

6. Other Road Making Materials.
Tenders should state the daily rates
and rate per trip for transport as
follows:-
1. Mile haul one way for materials
from site to destination
2. Mile haul one way for materials
from site to destination
3. Miles haul one way for materials
from site to destination
4. Miles haul one way for materials
from site to destination
5. Miles haul one way for materials
from site to destination

The trucks must be able to dump
and be of a minimum capacity of 3
cu. yds.

If daily rates are given a minimum
number of trips must be stated and
a price must be given for any trips in
excess of this minimum number of
trips.

Separate rates must be given if the
vehicles are loaded by PWD Mechani-
cal loaders.

It must be clearly understood that
any successful tenderers would be
subject to the directions of the Officer
in Charge of Works and trips will only
be paid for the capacity agreed and
any trip not complying with the agree-
ment will be paid per rate of the
specified load.

The Ministry of Communications and
Works will not bind itself to the lowest
or any tender.

All tenders must be sent to the
Chairman of the Tenders Board not
later than 18th July, 1973.

HOTEL MIDDLE MANAGEMENT
TRAINING, BARBADOS.

Applications are invited from suit-
ably qualified persons for awards in
Hotel Middle Management Training
tenable at the Samuel Jackman Prescod
Polytechnic, Barbados. The award is
subject to the availability of funds
under the West Indies Train in g
Scheme.
The course is of two years' duration
and students attend full-time. A mini-
mum of six weeks in each year will be
spent gaining appropriate experience
in Industry under Hotel School Super-
vision.
Applicants should be 17 years or
over, and should be in possession of
the General Certificate of Education
or its equivalent with a minimum of
two subjects at ordinary level.
Persons with knowledge and ex-
perience in the hotel industry will also
be considered for entry, if they satisfy
the Hotel School that they can benefit
from the course.
The successful applicant will be re-
quired to sign a bond with Sureties to
return to St. Vincent on completion of
the course.
Applications stating age, academic
qualifications and experience should
reach the Chief Personnel Officer for
the attention of the Training Officer-
not later than 16th July, 1973.

to the post of Director, National Provi-
dent Fund, St. Vincent.

As Chief Executive Officer of the
Fund, the Director will be responsible
to the Board of Direetors for the
general direction, control and super-
vision of all aspects of the Fund's
operations. To this end the Director
will be expected to have proven mana-
gerial experience and should have a
good working knowledge of modern
accounting principles and practices.
He should be able to manage and moti-
vate a growing staff.
Salary will be at the rate of $9,720
per annum. A travelling allowance is
also payable.


The post is presently non-pension-
able but the status of a serving
pensionable officer will be preserved.

education, experience and the names
of two references should be addressed
(and clearly marked CONFIDEN-
TIAL) to the Chairman, National
