SAINT VINCENT.

In exercise of powers vested in him by the Immigration (Restriction)
Ordinance, 1939, and all other powers hereunto enabling him the Governor
hereby revokes the order dated 16th April, 1970 in which LEROY BUTCHER of
St. Lucia was deemed to be an undesirable immigrant or visitor to Saint
Vincent.

EAST CARRIBBEAN CURRENCY AUTHORITY

TEMPORARY POSTS OF DEPUTY MANAGING DIRECTOR,
DEPUTY MANAGER, RESEARCH DEPARTMENT AND
DEPUTY MANAGER, CURRENCY DEPARTMENT

The East Caribbean Currency Authority is desirous of employing on a
temporary basis at its headquarters in Barbados certain personnel who would,
subject to staisfactory service, be eligible for appointment to the permanent
staff and form the nucleus of trained senior staff who would be employed
by the Authority when its headquarters are moved from Barbados to St. Kitts.
The three temporary posts for which applications are invited are:-
DEPUTY MANAGING DIRECTOR
Applicants are required to have a good knowledge of financial matters
(banking; or similar official or commercial experience is desirable)
together with administrative capacity and initiative. The successful appli-
cant would be required to assist the Managing Director in all matters
concerning the running of the Authority and to deputise for him in the
event of his absence. The salary scale of the post is $15,276 x $600-$16,476.

DEPUTY MANAGER, RESEARCH DEPARTMENT

Applicants should be persons who have had at least 3 years experience
in the compilation and analysis of monetary and financial statistics and
should preferably be the holders of an appropriate professional qualifi-
cation. The successful applicant would be required to assist the Manager
of the Research Department with the running of the Department and
in the preparation of the economic and financial reports issued by the
Authority. The salary scale of the post is $7,800 x $300-$8,400.

DEPUTY MANAGER, CURRENCY DEPARTMENT
Applicants should preferably be between the ages of 40 and 55 years and
have had experience in the handling, accounting for and issue of currency.
The successful applicant would be required to assist the Currency Man-
ager with the running of the Currency Department, including the issue,
re-issue and redemption of currency. The salary scale of the post is
$7,800 x $300-$8,400.

TRAINING
The successful applicants appointed to the temporary posts of Deputy
Managing Director and Deputy Manager Research Department may be
required to undergo a period of training at one of the regional central
banks proivded that suitable arrangements can be made.

HOUSE ALLOWANCE
The successful applicants will be eligible for a house allowance
payable during the period that the headquarters of the Authority remain
in Barbados.

TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE

A travelling allowance at the rate of 350 a mile is payable to officers.
using their motor cars on the business of the Authority.

LEAVE

Deputy Managing Director
42 working days (including Saturdays excluding bank holidays) leave
per calendar year.

Deputy Manager, Research Department and
Deputy Manager, Currency Department

24 working days (including Saturdays excluding bank holidays) leave
per calendar year.

PASSAGES
The Authority will meet the cost of the passages to Barbados of an
officer and his family. The authority will also be prepared to reimburse
an officer for any reasonable claim made in respect of the cost of the trans-
portation to Barbados of personal and household effects.

PENSION CONTRIBUTION

In the case where a successful applicant is a public officer who has
been seconded by a participating Government to the service of the
Authority, a pension contribution will be paid by the Authority to the
participating Government.
