CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT

MOTOR CAR SERVICE.


Sealed tenders are invited for the
provision of Motor Car Service for the
conveyance of public officers during
1970.
The Tenders submitted should con-
tain particluars of the charges pro-
posed to be made for waiting.
The Contract will be terminated by
one month's notice on either side, and
the person to whom the Contract is
awarded will be required to enter in
a bond with the Government for the
satisfactory performance of the Con-
tiact.

TENDERS FOR THE SUPPLY OF UNIFORMS.

Tenders are invited for supplying
and making khaki uniforms for Gov-
ern'ment Messengers, Forest Guards
and Rangers, Postmen, Port Guards,
Preventive Officers, Customs Guards,
and Attendants at the Institutions for
the period 1st January to 31st Decem-
ber, 1970.
2. The khaki used must be of the
same shade and texture for each uni-
form, and samples should be submitted
with the Tender.
3. Uniforms consist of long trousers
and short sleeved shirts with two flap


pockets and shoulder straps and the
requirements are for approximately 120
officers.
4. Tenders which will be received
up to 3 p.m. on Friday the 28th Novem-
ber, 1969, must be sealed and addressed
to the Chairman, Tenders Board, Min-
istry of Finance, Kingstown and dis-
tinctly marked on the envelope "Ten-
ders for the supply of Uniforms".

COMMONWEALTH TEACHER
TRAINING BURSARY SCHEME
1970

Applications are invited for Common-
wealth Teacher Training Bursaries in
the following fields:
Physical Education (1 male, 1 fe-
male)
Automobile Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Teaching of Mathematics
Post-Graduate Certificate in
Education. (Dip. Ed.)
The courses cater for experienced
teachers as well as for intending teachers
in the fields mentioned above. The Bur-
saries, which cover tuition, books and
apparatus, provide also for warm cloth-
ing, accommodation and pocket money
at approved rates. Courses will be avail-
able at educational institutions in the
United Kingdom Kingdom from Septem-
ber 1970.
Applicants should be between the ages
of 23 and 45 on 1st October, 1970. Suc-
cessful candidates must sign an under-
taking to return to work in St. Vincent
on completion of their studies.
Applicants holding the Intermediate
Certificate of the City & Guilds of Lon-
don Institute (or equivalent) will be
given preference for the two-year
courses in Automobile and Mechanical
Engineering; but it may be possible to'
make special arrangements for teachers
whose qualifications are not up to this
level.
Applications, on Form T1, should
reach the Training Officer not later than
Saturday 29th November, 1969.

SUPPLIES (CONTROL) (PRICES) LUMBER REGULATIONS, 1969.

1. Short title. These Regulations may be cited as the Supplies (Control)
(Prices) Lumber Regulations, 1969.

2. Interpretation. In these Regulations-
AREA "A" means the town of Kingstown;
AREA "B" means all other places throughout St. Vincent other
than those mentioned in Areas A and C" ;
AREA C'" means all places within the boundaries commencing
at the mouth of the Richmond River thence along the river to its source
and the parish boundary thence Northward along the central range
and parish boundary to the watershed between the Owia River and the
Acayau River thence along the ridge to the source of the Acayau River
and along this river to the sea thence along the coast to the point of
commencement; also La Pompe and Paget Farm in Bequia and the
remainder of the St. Vincent Grenadines;
"Sell" with all its grammatical variations and cognate expressions
includes an agreement to sell, an offer to sell, the exposure of goods
for sale, the publication of a price list, furnishing of a quotation, or
any act or notification whatsoever whereby willingness to enter into
any transaction or sale is expressed and also includes barter.

3. Maximum Prices. From and after the coming into force of these Regu-
lations the prices set out in the Schedule to these Regulations shall be the
maximum selling prices at which the lumber described in the said Schedule shall
he sold in the area mentioned in the said Schedule.

4. Revocation. The article "Lumber" appearing in the Supplies (Control)
(Prices) (Replacement) (Amendment No. 4) Regulations, 1968 (S.R. & 0.
1968, No. 60) is hereby deleted.
